Four New Battlegroups

US Forces – Free French Battlegroup:

Establish a resilient defensive line and stall enemy advances before unleashing a decisive counterattack.

French Rifle Sections, Bastions, and Tourelle defenses anchor your position, while Railway Artillery and the Char B1 Heavy Tank turn the tide and force a breakthrough.

Wehrmacht – Siege Breaker Battlegroup:

Break through fortified enemy positions with siege tactics and overwhelming firepower.

Flame Halftracks and enhanced infantry weaponry pressure enemy lines, while Siege Specialists and the Sturmtiger Heavy Tank shatter even the most entrenched defenses.

British Forces – Special Services Battlegroup:

Disrupt and weaken the enemy through precision strikes and resource denial.

Commandos, Snipers, and fast raiding vehicles harass from unexpected angles, while Scorched Earth tactics punish overextension and drain enemy resources.

Deutsches Afrikakorps – Elite Forces Battlegroup:

Field a highly advanced and experienced force designed to outmaneuver and overpower opponents.

Veteran infantry and vehicles, led by the Command 8Rad Armored Car, combine with Ace Stuka air support and the Tiger Ace Heavy Tank to deliver decisive battlefield dominance.

Each Battlegroup introduces a new playstyle for its faction, delivering powerful new units, iconic franchise favorites, and innovative abilities that bring all new gameplay mechanics to the battlefield.

Four New Battlegroups

• Wehrmacht – Last Stand Battlegroup: Victory requires sacrifice. Bolster your line with powerful improvised defenses and embolden your ground forces with a number of extraordinary measures.
• British Forces – Polish Cavalry Battlegroup: Seek revenge with grizzled Polish troops who long for battle and smash the enemy with devastating heavy weaponry.
• Deutsches Afrikakorps – Kriegsmarine Battlegroup: Bring the might of the German Navy to bear. Fortify your positions, establish vital supply chains, and then annihilate all in your path with catastrophic fire support.

Launching alongside the DLC, the Scarlet Bison update delivers a significant set of gameplay refinements, multiplayer quality, and fresh content for the community. This update focuses heavily on core gameplay improvements, including upgrades to tank riding mechanics, vehicle and building garrison functionality, and pathfinding behavior. Scarlett Bison also introduces multiplayer quality-of-life improvements and over 2,000 new voiceover lines for new and existing characters.

Scarlet Bison represents another major step in Relic’s ongoing commitment to refining and expanding the Company of Heroes 3 experience.

Four New Battlegroups

US Forces – Italian Partisan Battlegroup: Deploy daring Partisans to wreak havoc behind the lines. Cunning, deception, and sabotage are how your forces will prevail.

Brave Resistance Fighters and Saboteurs will enhance your ground forces, while tunnel networks, resource siphoning, and underground detonations will cause the enemy to collapse from within.

Wehrmacht – Last Stand Battlegroup: Victory requires sacrifice. Bolster your line with powerful improvised defenses and embolden your ground forces with a number of extraordinary measures.

Repel the Allied advance with the new Borgward Wanze, imposing Pantherturm, and immobilized vehicles, then demoralize their troops with the Propaganda Tower. Panzerfaust rollouts, improvised barrages, and final battle directives enable victory at any cost.

British Forces – Polish Cavalry Battlegroup: Seek revenge with grizzled Polish troops who long for battle and smash the enemy with devastating heavy weaponry.

Elite Polish Lancer Sections lead the line, while Polish-crewed Sherman Fireflies and Land Mattresses demolish enemy positions and armor with frightening efficiency. All Polish units thrive against veteran enemies.

Deutsches Afrikakorps – Kriegsmarine Battlegroup: Bring the might of the German Navy to bear. Fortify your positions, establish vital supply chains, and then annihilate all in your path with catastrophic fire support.

Kriegsmarine infantry provides combat flexibility and engineering prowess. Establish Hardpoints to secure territory and enable supply drops. Stuka Bombers, Fritz Glide-bombs, and Naval salvos will break the enemy upon your shores.

Fire & Steel Battlegroup DLC:

Fire & Steel introduces four new Battlegroups, one for each army in Company of Heroes 3, designed to enhance multiplayer and co-op/skirmish vs AI gameplay. These Battlegroups offer powerful new units and abilities, allowing players to diversify their tactics and strategies.

These Battlegroups represent an evolution of the Commanders and Doctrines from previous Company of Heroes titles, delivering highly requested super-heavy tanks and fresh gameplay experiences.

2.0 Anniversary Update:

Coinciding with the Fire & Steel launch, the 2.0 Anniversary Update significantly enhances Company of Heroes 3. This update, marking the game’s second anniversary, builds upon a year of continuous improvements and player feedback.

Company of Heroes 3: Fire & Steel is a Battlegroup DLC pack consisting of four Battlegroups for Multiplayer and Co-Op/Skirmish vs AI. These Battlegroups may well be our most exciting post-launch content to date. The Afrikakorps is the most radical and unorthodox army in the game, and will suit players who like to play aggressively and keep the pressure on the enemy, benefitting greatly from the synergy between its specialized infantry and armored vehicle roster. Afrikakorps players can use the Half-track to quickly deploy troops to respond to new threats or sustain the offensive, while the versatile Panzer III is the workhorse tank of the army. The Armored Reserves system allows for the deployment of the dread-inducing Tiger Tank and other heavily armored options. In the harsh deserts of North Africa, the Afrikakorps also had to rely on their vehicle-towing capabilities to reposition their anti-tank Flak 36 88mm cannon or repair damaged tanks.

Like all factions in Company of Heroes 3, the Afrikakorps come rounded out with their own assortment of supporting Battlegroups to tackle unique battlefield scenarios. The Italian Guastatori, clad in all-black uniforms, wield deadly flamethrowers to strike fear into the hearts of their enemies. Or utilize the Italian Combined Arms Battlegroup, which lets you field some impressive units, such as the highly effective Semovente da 75/18 Assault Gun, the elite Bersaglieri infantry, and the quick striking Carro Armato M13/40 Light Tank.

North African Operation Revealed, Play it Now for Free via CompanyOfHeroes.com

Relic Entertainment, Inc and SEGA® Europe Limited are excited to announce that Company of Heroes™ 3, the next instalment in the beloved RTS franchise, releases on PC via Steam on November 17th, 2022. Company of Heroes 3 will bring fans and newcomers to the series with the biggest and deepest single player experience in the franchise’s history. CoH3 will offer four playable factions at launch and two unique single-player experiences, with the Italian Dynamic Campaign and the North African Operation.

While the previously announced Italian Dynamic Campaign offers a branching, open-ended experience, the North African Operation is a more classically designed, narrative-led single-player experience. A wealth of new mechanics has drastically changed the battlefield in North Africa, where tank-riding enables coordinated rapid-strike assaults that overwhelm the enemy. Powerful Italian units can be called upon in Mission Alpha, such as the Guastatori combat engineers and the L6/40 Light Tank. Players can also enjoy new core gameplay innovations like side armour, enemy vehicle recovery and vehicle-towing, which lets you reposition your hard-hitting artillery like the German Flak 36 and British 17-Pounder.

Just how deep does environmental destruction go in Company of Heroes 3? Falling debris and collapsing buildings can now actually spell doom for nearby units. However, toppled buildings can also provide new tactical advantages, allowing players to carve out a new piece of cover. Players can even pre-destroy a map with tactical bombing runs, further altering your strategy and options on the battlefield.
