team17 and Expression Games are pleased to announce that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam’s first major update since launch is now available.

Update 1.5 will bring an array of new content to the first-person shooter. The title, described by PCGamesN as “beautifully brutal”, will include two of the most requested weapons and the hotly anticipated Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’ helicopter which will now feature in-game music via its onboard radio.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Update 1.5 Teaser Trailer

In a blog post shared earlier this week, the community were introduced to the 2026 updates in a comprehensive roadmap, adding a number of highly requested features. Update 1.5 includes:

New Weapons: M14 & SKS – The US Forces will receive the M14 rifle, while the NVA will add the Type 56 SKS rifle to their arsenals.

Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’ – One of the most recognisable helicopters from the Vietnam War, brought to life in the title with highly accurate detailing, decals and physical features like the onboard radio.

Music In-Game – Players will now be able to listen to era-appropriate music via ‘Huey’ radios; with music accessible inside the vehicle, as well as being broadcast to nearby players as you fly over the battlefield. A Spotify Playlist of the epic song list can be found here.

Within the blog post, team17 state: “Authenticity has always been incredibly important to Hell Let Loose”, most notably coming into effect when working directly with Bell on the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, where players can experience a more accurate representation of this legendary aircraft as it takes to the skies over Vietnam.”

In addition to these exciting content updates, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has big plans for the remainder of 2026 with new weapons, vehicles and new battlefields in the roadmap.

In this week’s blog post, it was revealed that Patch 1.2 (now live) features over 500 individual bug fixes and improvements across a broad range of areas, including stability, maps, vehicles, UI/HUD, keybinds, weapons, and general gameplay, including:

• The server crash caused by Tunnel usage in specific scenarios has been resolved.
• A range of UI issues that caused HUD elements to remain stuck on-screen, including Medic markers and capture points in Offensive, have been fixed.
• Commander abilities can now be placed correctly in relation to Squad Leader markings.
• Knife hit registration has been improved, with further improvements planned to address remaining edge cases.
• Non-headshot kills now correctly contribute toward the Longest Kill statistic.
• Image stability on console has been improved, with a particular focus on areas in shadow, and further optimisations are in the works.
• Various keybinding issues have been resolved, with further fixes planned.

This is only a selection of the 500+ fixes and improvements currently included in Patch 1.2. This Weekend, starting Today, Friday July 24, 2PM BST, Team17 and Expression Games are opening the doors to the first crossplay playtest for PC and console players. This playtest will take place on a brand new map, the Đắk Tô Airfield.

November 1967 saw the start of the Battle of Đắk Tô, an attack on a key US airfield base and surrounding hilltop fortifications in the central highlands of South Vietnam. The focal point of the base is its long, stretching airstrip, allowing nearby armor and recon units to take advantage and dominate the area. Impact craters and destroyed vehicles are strewn along the runway, caused by the constant bombardment of artillery strikes.

The operating airfield means the surrounding areas are less dense than the typical jungle, demanding effective teamwork and communication to navigate the open space safely.
