Players will be greeted with a new Independence Day themed New York port upon login, and can enjoy themed content including a new narrative campaign and Event Pass full of special camouflages, ships, destruction effects, and more. New ship customisation effects are also here in the form of Decals, along with other gameplay changes and enhancements.

World of Warships 15.5 – 250th Anniversary of American Independence Trailer

A Brand New Dawn of a Nation Narrative Campaign

Headlining the update is Dawn of a Nation, a brand new narrative campaign with four unique chapters exploring the history of the Thirteen Colonies and their journey to independence. A new chapter is unlocked weekly, and players that progress through the story over the next month will earn valuable themed rewards, including Historical U.S. commanders John Glover and John Paul Jones, the Betsy Ross flag, American Tier VIII premium cruiser Congress, as well as new enemy destruction effects and a special permanent camouflage for Tier X ships. Progress Tokens can also be earned through activities, granting Dawn of a Nation containers that offer pieces of the campaign’s themed historical collection and award the rare camouflage Minuteman for the Supership Maine.

Celebrate 250 Years of American Independence with a Special Event Pass

The celebrations continue with the 250 Years of Independence Event Pass, rewarding a host of content across two progression lines to complement players’ American fleets. The first progression line, open to all players, includes the Statue of Liberty Commander with an individual voiceover, the Stars & Stripes permanent camouflage, an Artillery Chest container, and the Freedom permanent camouflage for Baltimore as the final reward. For 2,500 doubloons, players can unlock the second progression line and work towards earning the Revolutionary permanent camouflage, U.S. Premium battleship Arizona, the new Old North State permanent camouflage for North Carolina, and the new Thirteen Salvos enemy destruction effect as the final reward. The Go Navy! permanent camouflage for Helena is also received as a bonus reward.

Dive Deeper into Ship Customisation with New Decals

In addition to Independence Day celebrations, update 15.5 introduces Decals, a brand new customisation feature allowing for greater ship personalisation, obtainable via special combat mission containers. Decals include historically-inspired symbols, mottos and other artworks placeable on ship hulls. While they’re currently limited to Tier IX ships, the functionality will be expanded in future updates.

Italian Submarines, Shadow Mapping, and More

Italian submarines Pietro Micca and Pietro Calvi remain available in Early Access as part of this update, allowing players to experiment with the unique Exhaust Smoke Generators native to these stealthy vessels and the Italian tech tree. Each submarine also comes armed with main guns equipped with semi-armor piercing shells, complemented by an improved Main Battery Reload Booster consumable, allowing for powerful attacks on unsuspecting foes.

Improvements to in-game shadow mapping are also here, along with Season 34 of Clan Battles, three new Brawls, and a new Rare Tier X battleship Sete de Setembro arriving in the Armory.

Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the leading cross-platform naval multiplayer game World of Warships, is sailing into March with a new update. The 14.2 update has players looking forward to new Experimental ships, the return of the Operations with Flagships battle type, and Soviet Submarines plunging into Early Access.

Starting March 5th, players eager to take the helm of new vessels will be able to get hands-on with three new Experimental Ships, including Tier VIII French heavy cruiser Metz, Tier IX Soviet cruiser Vyazma, and Tier X American battleship Oregon. Designed for veteran players, each ship begins battles with a fraction of its hit point pool that slowly recovers during combat. Those brave enough to command these vessels can take on a special mission chain to earn Coal for their hard-earned efforts.

This update also sees the return of Operations with Flagships. To keep things fresh, players will see new changes to the formula, as Flagships set a course for destruction on the high seas. With increased health and the ability to buff the ships they are leading into battle, each fight will become more diverse as randomized Flagships, each with various effects and vulnerabilities, seek out players to destroy. This time around, players will be able to increase their odds of survival by using Classified Documents to boost their ship’s battle capabilities.

Finally, underwater ships are on the radar, with new Soviet Submarines joining Early Access. Tier VI Soviet submarine S-1, Tier VIII Soviet submarine L-20, and Tier X Soviet submarine K-1 are all available and ready to dive deep into combat, each equipped with powerful and fast torpedoes, long-ranged Submarine Surveillance, and Fast Damage Control Team. They may lack the speed of other underwater vessels, but on the surface, they’ll pack a punch.

The prestigious battleship Wisconsin enters the high seas

Wargaming, the publisher and developer of the world’s leading naval battle MMO World of Warships, is setting the scene for the construction of the historic American battleship Wisconsin in the Dockyard, a real naval ship museum. Alongside this new shipbuilding process comes a special Event Pass with two 20-level progression lines to commemorate the Japanese Golden Week holidays, and the revival of the fan-favourite Asymmetric Battles!

Leading April’s content update comes American Tier X battleship Wisconsin in the Dockyard. Equipped with nine precise 406mm main battery guns in three turrets, and both high speed and concealment on her side, she’s the perfect vessel for fast-paced gameplay. To mitigate damage risks from the ship’s weaker armour Wisconsin comes prepared with speciality combat instructions that decrease consumable preparation and reload time, along with the main battery gun reload time.

To unlock Wisconsin, players must complete 30 phases of the shipbuilding process, 28 of which can be completed via Dockyard combat missions. Along the way, players will also be rewarded with another American battleship, West Virginia 1944.

To help continue support for the restoration of the turret of the real USS Wisconsin, a naval ship museum visible in Norfolk, Virginia, several in-game bundles will also be available to purchase, with 100% of the proceeds donated to The Nauticus Foundation, and World of Warships is proudly sponsoring as well the entry tickets for all veterans and service members visiting Nauticus during the April month.

Watch the Update 13.3: Wisconsin at the Dockyard trailer HERE.

Celebrate the Japanese Golden Week holidays

To commemorate the Golden Week holidays coming to Japan at the beginning of May a brand-new Event Pass drops its anchor in Warships’ waters, offering new rewards for players to unlock and enjoy. Set across two 20-level progression lines, players can discover a wealth of rewards including such as signal Containers and Golden tokens.

Across the two progression lines, rewards include two different Commanders, Andrei Teodorescu from Romania with six skill points and Ashikaga Teru from Japan, a permanent bonus package for Tier VII ships, and four different camouflages. As part of additional festivities, players can get hands-on with a brand-new camouflage for the duration of this update, which features a special destruction animation.

Asymmetric Battles rise again from the depths

For fans of player-versus-everyone gameplay, the revival of Asymmetric Battles delivers even more intense naval battles. From 11 April until 16 May, players can get back in on the action as they take on an armada of 12 bots. With the same ruleset as previous Asymmetric Battles, players can select from Tier VI-X ships of any type, assembling fleets of five in the pursuit of naval domination.

April’s update also continues Early Access to Commonwealth cruisers, before becoming researchable in the Tech Tree in update 13.4. This update also welcomes three new Brawls from 22 April until 29 April, available in a nine-against-nine format for Tier X destroyers, cruisers and battleships.

Wargaming, publisher and developer of top naval combat game World of Warships, is celebrating 8 years on the high seas! To mark the occasion, a vibrant wash of anniversary content and bonuses has made landfall, and the advancements delivered with the new update are taking things up another notch in the game. Since Update 12.7 World of Warships delivers major improvements to the in-game graphics and audio, the addition of the Airship Escort mode to Random Battles, and a fleet of Spanish cruisers leaving Early Access. The update also welcomes “Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-” back to the game, brings four new Brawls to get in on, and continues the construction of a Tier X destroyer in the Dockyard.

All aboard for the 8th anniversary of Warships!
Celebrating 8 years since the launch of World of Warships, Update 12.8 is ready to get the party started. Kicking off on September 14, players can unlock various rewards in the form of battle performance bonuses and Festive Tokens. These Tokens can be redeemed for each player’s choice of reward, with camouflages, discounts for Tier VIII ships, French Tier VIII cruiser Bayard, containers, and Supercontainers up for grabs, as well as a host of common, special, and rare economic bonuses. To crank the birthday celebrations up another gear, World of Warships is welcoming European Tier IX battleship Karl XIV Johan to the game, along with a special permanent camouflage, three Commanders with individual voiceovers, and a very special flag and patch!

Airship Escort makes its way into Random Battles
After two previous iterations as a distinct battle mode, a new-and-improved Airship Escort drops into Random Battles to switch up the combat situation. With a 12 vs. 12 format that’s open to ships of all classes, spanning Tier VII to superships, players will escort their allied airship along a fixed route to beat the rival team to the destination. Alternatively, a team can destroy their convoy to claim the win. This overhauled version of the mode sees updated routes and changed spawn points across a number of maps, a number of new indicators for airship speed and location, and fresh rewards for the Random Battle economy.

Graphics enhancements
Since Update 12.7, World of Warships has received major improvements to graphics and audio. High-detail textures have been incorporated into several maps, including New Dawn, Polar, and Islands. This hyperrealism extends to the water, which welcomes improved animations for waves that splash onto ships, as well as better general splash quality. The local fauna for the maps are also getting improvements, as well as increased numbers—more fish, birds, dolphins, and sharks will make an appearance. Several islands have also benefitted from improved collision models to accurately prevent passing ships from coming into contact with their perimeters. Beyond these environmental updates are improved audio-visual combat effects. Shots fired from main, secondary, and AA batteries, as well as explosions, now have improved effects that vary according to the target ship’s speed and the shell’s caliber. Impacts are also accompanied by improved audio to mimic the effects of hearing the sounds of battle from a distance. On top of this, the soundscape of Warships adapts to the battle situation, moving from battle sounds during combat with enemy ships to ambient sounds during calmer moments of combat.

Spanish cruisers and the return of “Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-”
Closing out this update’s brand-new content, Spanish cruisers are leaving Early Access to become available for all players, and “Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-” is returning to World of Warships’ waters to face off against the Fleet of Fog once more. Update 12.8 also welcomes four fresh Brawls that will take place with their own unique Division formats, and it also sees the continued construction of Pan-Asian Tier X destroyer Lüshun in the Dockyard. Players can also expect a number of bug fixes, upgrades, and balance changes across the game.

Wargaming, publisher and developer of World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends, has launched two absolutely packed November updates for their two leading naval MMOs. World of Warships on PC sees playable submarines landing in the tech tree, as well as an impressive selection of Japanese light cruisers entering Early Access. Console players are also treated to new ships and content in World of Warships: Legends with a five-week, 100-milestone campaign where Japanese Premium Tier VIII destroyer Hayate awaits, and a Treasure Chest of pirate content including two new Captains and crates with various plunder inside, including a fistful of guaranteed doubloons.

World of Warships Update 0.11.10 brings a host of graphics improvements to the game. Visuals for a number of maps including “Mountain Range”, “North” and “Strait”have received highly detailed textures, and the “Northern Lights” map has also seen an overhaul to more realistically depict aurora borealis. Vegetation models have also been upgraded across all maps, and ships see improved graphics with a convincing wetting effect implemented, wave divergence changes and dynamic reflections all updated for improved realism.

Kicking off World of Warships November content drop is the introduction of six new Japanese light cruisers to Early Access. These ships are armed with high-damage and high-range torpedoes to strike significant damage on enemies from far away. Further enabling sneak attacks, these cruisers can take advantage of the element of surprise using their good camouflaging. From Tier VII upwards ships in this range sport torpedo tubes equipped with a revolving mechanic, and Tier VIII upwards also see the addition of a large number of main battery guns.

Watch the 0.11.10 update trailer HERE.

These ships are available to players through a wide range of means, with some ships available through consecutive sets like the Agano, Gokase and Shimanto, and others available through combat missions and in random packs.

As these ships enter Early Access, submarines have departed and made their way to the tech tree, with German and American submarines researchable to all players. These covert vessels span Tier VI-X, and can strike lethal damage with their powerful torpedoes. The two nations offer different opportunities for gameplay, as German ships sport long-range acoustically guided torpedoes and a wide margin of autonomy, while the American submarines are equipped with short-range acoustic torpedoes and boast quicker recovery.

British ships are known for being a real jack-of-all-trades. The long-anticipated British Battleships launching into Early Access are the following:

There will be a temporary event called Industry Titans where The Chatham, Elswick, and Clydebank shipyards will compete for the right to be called the best shipbuilder serving the needs of the Royal Navy. Dive into the event on the Live Server to earn British Tokens that you can exchange for Early Access ships, permanent camouflages, and other items.

TRANSFORMERS collaboration, a new map, major improvements with HD textures, weather effects, gun firing, explosions and much more…

Wargaming, publisher and developer of the naval multiplayer free-to-play game World of Warships, is launching its latest content update, featuring a brand new map of the Faroe Islands, a return of Convoy battle type and the third instalment of the TRANSFORMERS Brand collaboration. In addition to all this new content, Update 0.11.5 like the ones before, will bring visual improvements, with an update to US destroyer models.

New Faroe Islands map

Launching this update is the introduction of the new Faroe Islands map, which was selected as the next playable location by players in Autumn 2021. Designed for Tier VII-X ships and superships, battles taking place on this map will be set against a backdrop of flowing mountain ranges covered in thin veils of snow, nestled in islands with steep shores falling in the North Atlantic ocean.

Latest of the graphic improvements: U.S. Destroyer models see a revamp

A number of U.S. destroyer models, present since the release of the game, have been dramatically upgraded. Mahan, Benson, Fletcher and Gearing will all be revamped, including slight changes to their physical parameters and balance characteristics. However, the broader gameplay features of these ships will remain the same. Update 0.11.6 will bring more of these updated U.S. ships, expanding to the models of Sampson, Wickes, Clemson, Nicholas, Farragut and Sims.

Alongside the improvements to these models, World of Warships has also seen a number of graphics updates across the board. Visual effects throughout the game have been overhauled since the beginning of the year. This includes major improvements with HD textures and local weather effects being refined on 8 maps, as well as new effects for guns firing, depth charges detonating under water and on islands, and aircraft explosions on the decks of destroyed carriers.

The return of Convoy battle type

Making a triumphant return from Update 0.10.8, Convoy mode is back for battle! Fought in teams of 12 with Tier VIII–X ships, two randomly distributed teams will participate in an attack-and-defend battle across one of six different maps. Players will need to escort two to three Convoys of AI-controlled cargo ships, sailing along their own defined route. Either the defenders will manage to fend off the attacks so at least one of the transport ship arrives at destination, or the attackers will succeed in sinking the lot!

There’s more than meets the eye: TRANSFORMERS are back!

Defeat your enemies in style with Hasbro’s TRANSFORMERS franchise! To commemorate the third TRANSFORMERS collaboration, World of Warships will have special content from the critically acclaimed toy line! These special camouflages were originally released only on World of Warships Legends, but now are available for PC! Such as Iowa’s Freedom Fighter skin to represent the Autobots to Bismarck’s Messenger of Oblivion for the Decepticon, it’s time to deck your ship in style. This limited-time content will be available during the update. One shall stand, one shall fall! Which will you be?
