“Just pick up and play.” That's the implicit and explicit message of Air Conflicts: Vietnam. It's an arcade-style flight sim, set during the Vietnam War, where you can pilot both airplanes and helicopters. Publisher representatives presented the game with refreshing honesty, stressing Air Conflict's lack of ambition. Their target market, they said, might be people who wanted a quick action romp for a budget price ($30 or $40) and who didn't want to invest as much time and energy on an intense blockbuster triple-A offering — people who wanted something they could just pick up and play.
