I've noticed if you damage the lead ship in a formation of H111s but not so much that it leaves the formation the whole formation will lose altitude with it and many will crash and force land. Once the lead ship pancakes the rest of the formation climb away. Is this a bug?

I was recently forced down in a Hurricane I and two Bf-109's attempted to strafe me. As the 109's flew overhead, they nosed down and slammed into the ground. Three more 109's flew by and then augered in.

I have also seen German bombers make forced landings. I saw one land with no apparent damage, but as soon as it stopped moving, both engines began to smoke.
