The strangest thing occurred to me on my last intercept mission. I was chasing a B-17 that had dropped out of formation. He had three wrecked engines and one smoking, so he was going to crashland anytime, but I just felt like using my last ammo on that damaged engine. So, I approach from his rear, but he crashlands before I reach him. At that point I notice some strange contures above the crash site. "Yeah! Geese!", I think, but no, it turned out to be THE BOMBER CREW!! ALL DEAD, AND FLOATING IN THE SKY! WHOAW! Of course, I took screenshots, but unfortunately, I don't have a website, so you can't see them...

I've definitely seen the crew splattered on trees and the like after a bad landing, but I've never seen them 'stick' to the air!

Weird! Maybe your ground detail was turned down, and something that normally would have been visible was invisible but still present from a programming aspect to act like giant flypaper for the flying 'wet rag dolls'.

Der Opa,

Once in a BoB career, I managed to destroy a He-111, and got a screen shot of the bomber crew scattered in the falling remains. I will see if I can find it when I get back home.

Have you ever seen a plane ditch in the channel? If they don't fireball, the will scatter and run around on the waters surface. Looks pretty cool when you strafe them as well.

I was hacking EAW once and foolin with the FM on the Ju 88C. I made modifications and went back to the sim and got a Ju 88C career loaded. I started # 1 engine. Fine. I started # 2 engine and the whole thing blew up leaving the "surprised?" crew floating.

Hello Opa, I too have a screenshot of this strange occurrence. I noticed it way back last year and even sent a pic to one of the EAW sites for posting.

The crew are dressed in the luftwaffe "blue" uniforms though...

Similar thing happened to me. The other day I downed a 109 which landed smoking. Next thing I see, the PILOT appears and runs off into the trees! Great game this EAW.

At the higher res setting it almost appears
you can see people running.

On a truck convoy attack with a Typhoon I saw
the soldiers bail once their trucks got hit.

On the strange side of things, when using the Pacific scenery, if you get too low the houses and trees bleed through the water.

This is only a problem if you get low. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know ([email protected]).

Thanks.
