Any photos with the turrets out? I've never, ever seen a B-36 "engaged defensive," to quote Falcon4...

Hmmm... isn't this the plane which was nicknamed "four-burning-six-turning" and was a total piece of scrap?

bucky-s,

I was a fraction of a second away from deleting your link to "the web's most gorgeous models" when I remembered they were of the plastic and glue variety.

Great tag line btw. You must get a great deal of site traffic from people looking for "gorgeous models"

It wasn'nt THAT bad.

Extremely good defensive weaponry...not that that helps against missiles, but it would have kicked butt in Korea.

Also incredible range and the ability to carry FAR more bombs than a B-52...then again so could a 747. (The B747 has far more power and load-lifting capability than the B-52)

Admin,

Good brinksmanship work with the DELETE finger there.

They should have you working at NORAD or something. We could all sleep better.

Yeah, the tag line (tee-hee). I wonder how many people have cursed out loud when they hit that link with the drool already gathering at the corners of their mouths and then -- budda-bing-budda-boom -- a nice big JPEG of me superimposed on a Sherman tank model at D-day pops up on the monitor screen. GOTCHA!!! (John Goodman bowling strike gesture with appropriate "train whistle rope" fist pump)
