I have an F22 Pro & TQS. I must be missing something on the weapons release programming keystrokes. For example, to drop a bomb, I select "W", followed by "ENTER". Nothing happens.

I used Thrustmasters "Keytest" utiity to make sure that the correct keystrokes are assigned to the selected hat switches. They are.

Do I need to do something else besides the W/ENTER to drop a bomb? The bombs won't even drop when I select W/ENTER from the keyboard.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Bob,

Are you using James Hallows's Fox Two Thrustmaster utility, If you do not have it, get it here:

mane_raptor,

I use Calana's Commander 2 for my Thrustmaster programming. It has the Keytest utility built into it. I have never had any trouble before.

I was wondering if you have to do more than "W/ENTER" to drop a bomb, i.e., does arming the bomb (W) select it?

I know there is two buttons that are always assigned to my joystick if I delete my .ini and that is fire guns and drop secondary.

Have you tried arm the bombs ('w' is correct) and press button 2 on the stick.
If it doesn't help, go into your EAW menu under stick configuration. At me it is 'FIRE SELECTED WEAPONS=Joystick_Btn_2' But if you want to drop with Enter you should change it to 'FIRE SELECTED WEAPONS=Enter'.

Hope it helps

Yes, that worked. Now, is there anyway to just drop 1 bomb at a time? They both came off at the same time when I punched button S2?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

As far as I know, No, both at the same time.

I really think getting and using Fox Two will be to your benefit. It makes programming the TM stuff so much easier.

For the benefit of anyone else who may read this post, I should clarify exactly what I did to get the bombs to drop. I went into the EAW Control menu, selected Advance, and then selected Weapons. I then "mapped" the Fire Selected Weapon to button S2 on my F22Pro, i.e., I just pushed button S2 on my stick when it asked what button to use for this command.

I agree with mane_raptor that it appears that EAW does not have the capability to drop just 1 bomb at a time. I haven't tried rockets yet, but do they all fire at once as well?
