To Gen Savage,Cord,& Bigshot:
Many thanks: I unzipped Jays CTS terrain into EAW main directory as suggested. It noww resides as a separate folder called "JAYSTERR" alongside the :SAVE DATA" folder. Problem is that I still get the orig. EAW terrain when I run the game in either Quick Start or Single Mission Modes: I'm not yet into campaigns. Is CFS terrain supposed to be the terrain of choice when I start the game or must I somehow disable the original terrain or order for CFS to work?
Can the problem lie elsewhere? Thank again.

Chaz, the reason your CFS terrain won't run is because all the ".ter" files must be in your EAW folder, not any other! You must move them out of the "Jaysterr" folder and directly into "European Air War". That should solve your problem. Really, any add-on which replaces the stock CDF files in EAW usage must be located directly in the EAW folder. (the problem of extra folders being included in the zip files is one of the reasons I don't unzip anything directly into my EAW folder; I want to know exactly what I'm putting in there before I do it!)

[It's very easy to move these files through Windows Explorer: just click the first ".ter" file to highlight it, then WHILE HOLDING DOWN the "Shift" key, click the last ".ter" file. All of them should now be highlighted. Release the "Shift" key. Now you have two options.

Here is #1: Drag the highlighted files over to your EAW folder. When the EAW folder highlights-----you might have to move your mouse pointer a bit before this happens-----release the left mouse button. Now all the files will be moved out of "Jaysterr" and into "European Air War".

Option #2: Keep you mouse pointer over the highlighted files and right click, then choose "Copy". Move your mouse pointer over the folder "European Air War" and right click. Choose "paste". That will copy all the ".ter" files to your EAW folder.]

The add-on terrain (in this case CFS) will now be the only terrain used in EAW; if you want to change to another or go back to the original you just delete all the ".ter" files in your EAW folder, then copy the "new terrain" (for another add-on) or do nothing more (to return to the default EAW terrrain).

[Deleting can be done the same way as I described above in Windows Explorer: go to the "View" menu at the top, go to "arrange by" and choose "by type". Find all the ".ter" files in your EAW folder and highlight all of them using the procedure I described. To delete, just choose "delete". That gets rid of all them.]

Hi Chaz!

JWC is absolutely right on this, just drop the idea of creating subfolders, it doesn't work. Stick to JWC's detailed instructions and you'll finally get the new terrain included to the game.
