S! Alles. Allright, I finally bit der bullet and signed up to join mit der Evil Hindu Goddess Kali. Now I am wondering...Does anyone here use it for EAW? I think I remembered that some of the squads from here flew on Kali but never joined any because...well I didn't have Kali.

I'm sure I could look back but again, you all know me and how lazy I can be at certain hours of the night, besides my browser time is being split between finding some more Babes of the Week (a tireless and drudgery bit of work to say the least... ) to add to Herr Donster's impressive collection while trying to figure out how to make this Kali wench do my bidding. Seems I've been out of the loop for too long on how those chat boxes work. Anyhow that was my question, Danke in advance for any replies.

#181 is the main server used for EAW. I go there sometime when the server is full, which is around 6-11 PM EST, but as I am a European it has to be days where I don't have to do anything the following day.

S!

Herr Schatten! It will indeed be a pleasure to see you at Kali on Ch181. I'm usually there at least three days a week, sometimes more.

Guys,

Is Kali a good place for first timers, or should I try the zone first? I have signed up for the zone, but have been reluctent to get my feet wet so to speak.

Donster,

I have only been flying "online" for 4 or 5 weeks now, the first at the Zone, the balance at Kali. IMHO, the Zone is a great place to hop on and get plenty of practice in mayhem type sorties. I was looking for more than that though, more or less a "campaign style" set-up but online with and against other "human" opponents. I found this at Kali with the MSA (Multi Squadron Alliance). The Zone is a fine place and is free. Kali costs a one time $20 to join.

I still consider myself wet behind the ears compared to many of the other veteran onlien pilots, but have also been made to feel very welcome there.

Being a former flight instructor, I have not seen the comraderie and kick-back atmosphere that I enjoy at Kali since i left the airfield where i once worked.

Either way you go, Zone or Kali, I think you will be pleased.

Welcome aboard whichever way you choose.

By the way (a little bias here <g> ), the 56th FG is currently recruiting.

We usually fly ECA1.4 with the new Panel
and many times, for ultra realism, ECAO with HUD turned off. Great fun!

Good luck

Thanks guys. I almost got going on the zone awhile back. My problem is that( and it is MY problem) I am disabled, don't move real well, and feel that I will be just wasting my time trying. But, gotta try it! It sounds like to damn much fun! I do however find it difficult to fly with the flight model at Realistic. And I wouldn't want to take a advantage over anyone else.

S! Alles, Danke for all the information. I'll definately be dropping by then, unfortunately it can't be tonight. Other commitments and all that. I probably won't be able to get online to do any flying until after Midnight at the earliest. Having a life (well somewhat of one) can really put a crimp in the old flying time.

Herr Snefens, I'm an American actually but those crazy Australians have my internal clock warped to Queensland time. So I know the feeling of timezoneitis.

Herr Von Vampyr, actually after I posted thatkast night my time zone challeneged brain remembered that I'd seen the JG 26 webpage before and that you guys were on Kali. So I went back and rummaged in my bookmarks, found it and went back. Have to say that is a great job you all did on the webpage, I especially liked the pilot theme music bits and the stories.

Herr Pharoah, well what can I say? Now I definately have to get on there so I can show you the error of your ways by defecting...What would Herr Herring say? S!

Herr Donster, another way to fly online without worrying about the hassles of the service sites is by running a game in TCP/IP right from EAW. The hard part about doing it that way is finding people to fly against, ICQ can help that put a great deal though. Herr Mad Wallaby and I have done it and then last night Herr Fokker joined in the fun. It was only the second time he'd flown online and I was impressed. Three way Total Mayhem just to 'limber up' turned into a 3 hour festival of doom. Herr Fokker and I in the Bf 109E-3 and Herr Wallaby in a Hurricane I. The Luftwaffe triumphed but it was a lot closer than you'd think. Friendly fire you know...

But I digress, glad to know that there are flyers on Kali and I'll be sure to stop by and be a target for any of you just as soon as I can.

Thanks for all of the speedy responses guys.
