There are a lot of good sims that have been out for a while, you name them... F-18 Korea, A-10 Cuba, EF2000, Tornado, F-22 ADF, JFS, Jane's F-15, Back to Baghdad, ATF, DISH to name a few. Wouldn't it be great if the publishers released the source codes to these great sims. Imagine the possibilities. Some of our favorite games brought back to life with enhanced graphics, new missions, etc etc. Some companies have released (legally) the source code for their old games like Quake1, Descent 1, to name a few. Since the future of sims is looking pretty bleak, it wouldn't be a bad idea to breathe some new life into the old classics. They've got nothing to lose anyway. Oh well, just dreaming... Any ideas? First choice...definitely TORNADO. Bringing it up-to current graphics standards and tweaking the FM a bit (I do remember it rolled around a weird axis...) would make it one of two PERFECT sims...

...the other, of course, being EF2000/TACTCOM...don't touch the FM or WARGEN...just make the graphics up to current standards and it, too, would be PERFECT.

Of course, one's definition of PERFECT is always subjective...looking forward to hearing other responses on this subject.

Chuck Yeagers Air Combat 2001

Hey if we could transplant the graphics from JSF to CYAC2001, then make the F-105, B-52 and MiG-17 flyable, we'd definitely have the most realistic Vietnam Sim to date.

Way better than Fighters Anthology or Air Duel by Microprose. The current CYAC Vietnam era flight models already trounce those in Janes USAF.
