well i thin not. people who want a really realistic combat flight simulator should buy falcon4.0
others who just want fun should buy flysims like f-22 lightning or whatever. i guess falcon is not the funniest game. you donīt have fun with it if you donīt know all instruments or avionics.

Well, to be honest, F4 isnīt even realistic enough yet. The radar systems modeled in F4 are rather old and not state of the art. Some other avionics stuff is also not what the real deal is like. I have a bunch if friends either working or flying the 16, and they say F4 is pretty good, but doesnīt really model the "real" Block 52.
Thatīs pretty understandable though if you look at it from a security standpoint.

While F4 is very realistic, there are plenty of opportunities to have fun just flying around. You can set the number of threats in the area to zero and just go out see the simulated sights. It's like a dream come true, your own F-16 to take up and fly whenever you want. I especially like chasing rivers at about 300 feet

I had fun playing Falcon thing that stands out in my mind was the ground effects. When you're flying very close to the ground, reduce throttle and flare, but keep the same altitude. Doing this over dirt or water, leaves a dust/vapor cloud. I'm not a big fixed wing simmer, but I did enjoy that game, even with the comprehensive manual.

There certainly is. It's called reality. I don't think I'd like it much if I played F4 and got killed when I screwed up. That's a little too real.

As it is, F4 is too real for some people. That's fine, there are other games that are less real. Try F-16MRF from Novalogic if F4 is too real. It's less real but still lots of fun. I like F4 as it is. Maybe a little more real wouldn't hurt. Not too real though.
