Stag,

Great. Thanks. REAL men use single shot muzzle loaders and bayonets; none of this long range, hi-tech, automatic toughy-feely stuff!

Aye, ‘tis true, as well I know, on account of once ‘avvin’ saved t’ arm of one lieutenant Thomas Southby, ‘im being brought foully low by a bit o’ grapeshot at t’ stormin’ o’ Badahoj.

Now ‘e wert’ proper lieutenant; ‘is da ‘avvin’ bought ‘is commission, (though per'aps no gentleman; ‘e were not rich, on account o’ ‘is sword bein purchased by t’ sale o’ two o’ t’ family cows an’ t’ugliest daughter) and ‘e were wi’ colours commandin’ men three years afore puberty; not like one o’ these miserable 19 year ol’ passed over buggers tha’ sees today.

Anyways, as yon Gunny says, tha makes do, as I did, on account of ‘avvin t’ fix t’ bold lieutenant’s arm back on wi’ nowt more than t’ rusty gimlet and 16 inches o’ cobbler’s twine. For which service t’ lieutenant thanked me most roundly, every time he saw me from then on, afore expirin’ two days later on account of t’ gangrene.

Aye; T' Stag family hast ne'er had t' pay t' doctor's bill while I were 'round, nor funerary either; the secret bein' a well maintained compost heap.

Yep Owld Stag, reminds me of the time I was out in the bush by myself. There I was, surrounded by 200 enemy tanks and me with only my trusty P-38 can opener saved from a box of C-rats. Ahhhhh...but those were the days.
