Hell, there areno licensed copies of Crimspn Skies here yet (not thatI am planning to buy one). It must be selling like hotcakes in the US/Canada/Europe/Japan/Singapore. Sigh, I guess I'll have to wait until they demand subsides. Ihave tried it though, and while I amnot sure it is better than EAW, there are clearly only two contenders for the top WWII Fighter Flight Sim right now.

I have funny feeling that Rowan's BoB will even get here first. It is supposed to be coming in by December 10-15, 2000.

Anyway, CFS2 is definitely on my buy list. Anyone out there work for MS? Sned soem over here, I'll take it, patch or not patch.

(This was written in utter frustration and a spate of sheer envy).

obtaining licensed copies of software may not be lucrative here due to rampant software piracy. You may have to import if you really want some. (I got a licensed Jane's 688(I) from the U.S. for 1/8 of my mothly salary in pesos!~that's a fortune )...

Licensed games need not cost so much.

You can find licensed software at Datablitz which has several branches. The ones which have boxes marked "Asia-Pacific Editions" start at PhP995/US$20 (i.e Flanker 2.0) and reach up to PhP1495/US$30 (Jane's F/A-18) for surprisingly low prices.

MS titles have no Asia Pacific Edition, which result in higher prices like PH1750/US$35 for MSFS2000 Standard and PhP1650/US$33 for Starlancer.

The ones actually pack here with boxes printed in the local dialect like Tiberian Sun, Red Alert II, Lara Croft something go for Ph700/$15 and the are Interactive Magic budget releases (no box no printed manual) like Jane's F-15 PhP295/$6.

Despite the rampant piracy, Datablitz is doing well. They have about 7 or 8 branches in Metro Manila.

The only game a got from the States was Falcon 4.0 which cost US$19.95 to buy and US$37 (ouch) to ship in. That did cost an arm an a leg.
