Check out the great new F4U Corsair diecast models (1:100 scale)....at www.armourcollection.com. Look for them at better hobby shops.

Anytime I get into a new sim I display the diecast model replica (F-16 for Falcon4, Mustang or Thunderbolt or Lightning for EAW, F-4 Phantom Mig Killer or F-15 Eagle for USAF, a Hornet for FA-18, F-86 Sabre for Mig Alley (just found a great new MiG-15 too) etc................right on top of my monitor.

I know it sounds weird, but these diecasts really make a killer display.

Right now I've got a Hellcat and a Corsair atop my monitor and desk...in the exact paint schemes shown in CFS2.

The Corsair has Boyington's number and markings. Fun to be a kid again.

Rambo,

They do make nice die-cast replicas! I have a B-17, F-15, F-16, and F-18 on my desk at work. The attention to detail is superb. I highly recommend these beauties to any aircraft enthusiast. They are very nice collectibles. Besides, it gives my desk a definate MANLY look in an office shared with women!

Snowman,
Way to go....my fiancee wonders what "all these airplanes" are doing in my home study also!

(I also collected several of the the superb American and German TANKS that they used to produce) Great props for when you fire up PANZER GENERAL II.

Is Armour propucing a B-17 soon? I have a great Corgi B-17 (Memphis Belle, I think)...

Rambo

Rambo,

Not sure if Armour is producing a B-17 replica, but I'm fairly confident it won't be long before they do! They certainly have a good collection of both old and new aircraft to collect though.
