I would like to create modifications, specifically new skins for aircraft and vehicles and perhaps work on a terrain as well.

What programs would I need? (picpac, gpal.pal, etc...)

Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks,
AxA http://www.FlyAndFight.com

Me too - one of the best things about this game is the expandability - I love this game, and want to contribute to this community with missions, campaigns, and any other cool mods I can. If someone could give me some ideas on how to get started.

I used DXTBMP available at http://fly.tp/mwgfx

and Photoshop to create a tan colored Zero.

Still learning.

Just what do you need to open the texture files anyway? somebody said before this thing came out that the texture files would be bitmaps, but they aren't. By the way, your link didn't work. Would love to be able to tinker with this thing though, loved making skins for SDOE and Flanker 2. Would love to build aircraft as well, but I'm not quite up to that.

Thank you, sfbaytf!

I'll download that file and see what I can do. I too utilize Photoshop, so perhaps I'll have equal success.

I've made numerous modifications to EAW and more recently Mig Alley. I hope to be able to contribute some mods to the CFS2 community as well.

If anyone can provide any additional information, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,
