I've noticed a significant difference between weapons accuracy & effectiveness in the instant action missions and the combat missions. In the IA missions I've often run into "uber-targets" that were nigh impossible to destroy (ex: rear aspect on a BTR at 1km, multiple Vikhrs, 80mm rockets & 30mm cannon bursts simply would not kill it). Whereas in the combat missions weapons effectiveness & accuracy seem much more realistic & consistent (yeah, a few misses and such but most of the time I can count on my weapons doing their job). Possible bug or deliberately done to prevent the IA missions from becoming too predictable?
Question: Why does the aiming point for the unguided weapons (rockets, cannon pods) have to be offset to the right of HUD center when using the standard cockpit? I understand it may be more realistic but without some sort of aiming mark on the standard cockpit HUD you're nearly forced to use the HUD-only view to accurately aim these weapons. Fully realistic or not it would make sense to make both aiming points centered on the HUD regardless of which HUD you're using.

Thanks, Bob. I checked out your review (good work) and was surprised to read that the co-op mulitplayer was left out. Loaded up Ka-52 and co-op multiplayer is a valid selection, I was even able to select & start a mission "waiting" for someone else to join. I can understand the problems with bandwidth, will have to experiment with my friend in California and see how workable this is. In regards to my weapons accuracy/effectiveness observation I've watched perfectly targeted Vikhrs, one after another, just impact a distance in front of the intended target, sometimes taking out a target that happened to be in the "miss" zone. However, the weapons work well in the combat missions so I won't grumble too much. Say, what are the chances we'll see a mission editor/generator & patch? Thanks again...

So, Bob, any chance we will be seeing the later EMC (EMC4? 9?) with the 'good' flight model, less bugs and all, perhaps in the form of patch? Come to think of it I heard that a patch is coming... when?
