The Eurocopter is the best european Attack-Helicopter. Why doesnīt have C-H this helicopter?

That's simple, the forces that operate Comanches or Havocs don't operate the Eurocopter.

OK, thatīs a reason.
Is it possible that the NEXT simulation (by Razorworks)will have the Eurocopter or/and the Leopard 2A5?
A good next simulation would be:
1)Tiger VERSUS Hind
or
2)Agusta A129 Mangusta VERSUS Hind
or
3)AH-1Z SuperCopra VERSUS ROOIVALK

That isn't an explanation, many games have already the Tiger. Besides, the chopper could be in an European campaign, like Poland against Russia.

In this hypothetical campaign (like in Tank Platoon II), Poland is allied to the NATO, so the Tiger fights for Poland against Russia!

Yes, I found the COUNTRY in "Kaspisches Meer" campaign interesting, because there were many mountains which brought a lot of fun (e.g. flying through the canyons)!!

Why do you laughing? It is not a joke. Tiger VERSUS Hind is interesting, but in my opinion Tiger VERSUS Rooivalk is more interesting because both helicopters are very modern and they have a high-technology level.
I think, you would rather see Hind VERSUS Blackhawk ????? LOL

Guys, excuse my ignorance please, but Iīm a jet simmer. That being said, I was wondering what country the Rooivalk is from? Sounds either like South Africa or the Netherlands to me (hey, I said I donīt know nothing about choppers ), and I doubt the Eurocopter will ever face the Rooivalk in a hostile manner if it is from either one of these countries.

Okay, once again, I canīt tell a Hind from an Apache (well, I can, but you get the point...), so this question might seem a little weird, but if the Eurocopter is so good, then how come nobody except France and Germany buys it?

What I ment is, the Hind is an absolute joke compared to most of the newer helicopters out there. It has absolutely no glass displays (although that may not hinder it's combat efficiency too much, it gives an idea of the Hind's age). In the A2G realm, the Hind is a much more feared opponent because of the massive amounts of firepower it carries (no matter how primitive that firepower may be, there's still alot of it). Fancy displays aren't as important in A2G as a crosshair and ten tons of ordinance. Which the Hind has.

The Hind is very poor at A2A combat, it was clearly designed to be a multirole A2G gunship, with a troop cabin and massive amounts of A2G firepower.

The reason I laughed is because the Hind is so poor at A2A combat. It doesn't even have a radar, so basically anything that does (AH-64D, Mi-28N, Eurocopter etc. etc.) will see and kill the Hind easily.

First of all Hind was designed to kill tanks not helicopters. Second there is an upgrade for Hind witch will incorporate unpgraded avionics and a glass cockpit. But I don't think that this package includes a radar. Still I hope that Razorworks will include this model of Hind in their next game.

Hind lacks much of that wonderful stand-off capability the newer choppers have. It is pretty much "in yer face" chopper.

I want next Razorworks installment to feature Hind for its ability to carry troops and support their insertion with its firepower. Same goes for Blackhawk. In CH you have to do a troop insertion in order to capture enemy asset. I find the thought of flying the insertion with my buddies covering my behind in Hokums and Havocs mighty entertaining.

Cheers,
Scout

Yes, the Rooivalk comes from South Afrika and yes the primary buyers are Germany and France, because they are the developers of the Tiger. But potential custumers are also Spain and Malaysia. GB has itself decided for the AH-64 Apache. If you compare the best Attack-Helicopters (AH-64D, RAH-66, AH-1Z, Tiger, Mangusta, Ka-50, Mi-28N, Rooivalk) you will see that the Tiger is one of the best helicopters.
And now, I have a question for you: What is your opinion about the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F-22 Raptor.

Uh oh, you better donīt get me started on this one, hehehe. Suffice it to say that the F-22 kicks *** , maybe a little more than even needed, while the Typhoon is...umm..well...a nice aircraft.

As for the Hind, is it really that obsolete? I understand it doesnīt have all the latest bells ans whistles (read: radar, glass cockpit etc.), but doesnīt it still kick *** in the A/G role? I mean, if I saw 5 or 6 of them coming towards me I wouldnīt really feel too comfortable, no matter what kinda cockpit the pilotīs are sitting in. Also, when I was in the Army, they told us to not even try to shoot at a Hind with our lowly 7.62mm weapons, since it would do nothing to the Hind (except telling him our position of course). Any info on that?

Well, as I said, I donīt really know too much when it comes to choppers, Iīm more into the fast movers.

The AH-1W Super Cobra isn't good enough:
old airframe; only two blades; outdated avionic, which has to be renewed (MIL 1553B)
and old armour.
In my opinion, the Super Cobra isn't no longer a high-tech copter, but maybe the AH-1Z (which is scheduled on 2003). Only his (AH-1W) payload (Sidewinder, Sidearm and Maverick) is still interesting.

The Rooivalk is much more like a high-tech chopper but in comparison with the Mangusta, he is still inferior, so I think,
TIGER vs. MANGUSTA would be cool.

Yes, it is cool (Tiger VERSUS Mangusta) but it isnīt realistic because both helicopters are developed in Europe and I donīt think that Germany/France will fight against Italy.
But maybe, in the future (2005-2010)any helicopters (Tiger, Mangusta) will be bought by any other countries like Iran,Irak,China... ! Then, there is a realistic reason for a simulated war with both helicopters.

The armor on the Hind is very heavy on the forward quarters, but the tail uses cloth skin! You could huck molotov cocktails at it and take it down .

Yeah, Papa. YOU ask ME, which simulator WOULD be cool! Don't be obscure. At time, there isn't a realistic way to compare the Tiger and Mangusta in any campaign (differently from Tiger vs. Rooivalk). But I just said, Tiger vs. Mangusta would be cool.
Besides, Tiger vs. Rooivalk could be a realistic successor.
