I started my first campaigns last month and now some pilots have flown 7 missions and their fatigue is high. Is there anyway to ensure they get some rest instead of flying the next mission?
Even though I only have a P166 MMX with Monster 3DII video card (8 megs), I still play at maximum settings - this should emulate my fatigue too. Yes, it is a bit jerky but think how much I am going to appreciate a new computer and how much easier it should be to fly?

That's funny, I never thought the AIs needed R&R once in a while! I'm so mean! ("No, you can't go to London, don't you know there's a war on?!")

But if you're CO, you can select your personnel before take-off when you're in the "squadron" page (see blackboard in hangar). When a name's highlighted red, click on another name from the roster at left, to change him. You can do this for every position in all sections, but only if you're CO.

Thanks Waynio. I guess the AI won't be getting much rest. I have yet to reach the exalted position when I can tell which pilots not to fly.

S! jimjim:

You can "cheat" by changing the fatigue and morale values for any pilot (or all of them!) with Charles Gunst's "EAW Pilot" editor. This editor is already included in ECA Control Panel 2.0 as the "Squadron Editor" function, so if you have that you already have this capability. Both "EAW Pilot" and "ECA CP 2.0" are available from a number of different places, including Airbuddha's "The Hangar" (once you're there, click on "Main Files" in the navbar at the left) and Cord's EAW Page (once there, click on "Utilities" in the navbar at the left).

For a look at how to use the ECA CP 2.0 Squadron Editor, go to this thread: Squadron Editor

Just a remark: fatigued pilots might refuse to take off

Had once a battle worn youngblood as wingie and he didn't take off. Happens in campaign sometimes. So give them some RnR or cheat with squadeditor.
