IF you are referring to the extra 20mm under the wings then you should get eca and ecapanel. In ecapanel all you have to do is change the g6 to the g6/r6

Hi there Joe S!

[How do you add the extra 20mm cannon to the 109G?]

Yes, as wulf_pilot states, ECA Control Panel 2.0 gives you many options for German aircraft armament, including the 109G-6/R6 with 2 20mm cannon in the underwing positions. These external cannon mounts increase weight and drag, so you pay a slight performance penalty for the extra armament, just like the real planes did. If you've followed this forum closely, then you probably already know that you need ECA 1.4 in order to use ECA Control Panel 2.0.

Another option is the "German Gun Collection" by Christian Mosimann. This is available from Airbuddha's 'The Hangar' (just click on "Main Files" in the navbar at the left and then look for the "GGC" on the page that loads). This will give you the extra two 20mm's under the wings, but will replace the 20mm nose cannon with a 30mm MK108 (that arrangement is already available in ECA CP 2.0 as the 109G-6/R4).

It is the 109G10/R4 that features a MK108 30mm engine mounted cannon. The 109G6/R4 has a 20mm cannon firing through the spinner with 30mm "gundolas" slung underwing.

Right you are DBond! I need more sleep before I post (this forum IS addictive, after all )! Actually the armament I describe in the German Gun Collection (30mm in nose, 20mm's under wings) is found in Control Panel on the K-4/R4, but does not appear on any of the G models. ECA CP 2.0 contains the following Me109's with extra 20mm cannon under the wings: F-4/R1, G-6/R6, and the K-4/R4. Me109's in CP 2.0 that have extra 30mm cannon under the wings are the: G-6/R4, G-10/R4, and K-6.
