Guys
is there a map of airfields or a way to
be directed to the nearest airfield. Somtimes when your plane is shot up
it's tough to make it to your home base.

Thanks

If you hit Shift+r the nearest friendly airfield will "light up" with a distance indicator, providing it's within around 10 miles or so......

Hit Alt+M; The map will appear. Don't forget to hit F1 to get back to the cockpit. Wouldn't recomment this at 100' though. HEHE

doc, the map that appears when you hit Alt+M can be a bit confusing since it makes no distinction between "airfields" and [enemy] "targets"/[friendly] "cities"............they all appear as colored squares (blue for the Allied territory and red for German). This does lead to some question as to what is what. I started working on that several months ago (slowly adding to my maps as time permits) and I now have all the airbases marked in England. I also have all "red squares" in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands marked as well. I have the names of everything in the latter 3 countries and an indication of whether or not it is an airfield or not. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to doing Germany yet. The maps I've made are taken from screenshots of the game map. I outlined the coasts and rivers in black and then erased all the remaining color so the maps are in white, with locations in black. They could be printed, although it becomes difficult to get them on one page without reducing them in size. If you're interested in having me send them to you, list your e-mail address here or send it to me at [email protected] If you want the maps, indicate what type of format you prefer. It would be best if I could send them in PNG format; they compress really well as PNG's with only black and white colors and have the resolution of a bitmap (BMP) with the size of a JPEG (actually I think they may be SMALLER than a JPEG when in PNG format). If you don't have anything to open a PNG with, I can alternatively send them as JPEG's.

The maps would be greatly appreciated.
JPEG format would be nice but I can deal
with PNG files, I assume there are any
number of conversion utilites available
on the net. You can send them to
[email protected]

Thanks
