You may or may not have seen this from the front page of this site:

'We just received word that Hasbro gave walking papers to the Falcon 4 team today. The 1.08 patch will be the final patch. There will be no future F15 or other products, and there may never be another flight sim product from Microprose after Gunship.'

Oh dear. This seems to knock any ideas of PAW2 on the head. On the other hand, it may mean they will hand someone the EAW engine code and other stuff, as it's no longer used.

But in the end, it's a bad thing. Those poor F4 guys - after all that work !

This is just awful news if it means that after Gunship there'll be no more sims from Microprose. I'm assuming we'll still get B-17II but what kind of support after release will it receive? What about the follo-up to B-17II as well?

Boy, I was really holding out hope that they'd make PAW-2. Can you imagine what a new Pacific Theater sim would look like with the B-17II engine?!? WOW!!

Oh well, that's really bad news. First Dynamix, now Microprose. Who's next?

I dunno, But maybe it's cause they like the team at Wayward "B17II", and they feel it's not necessary to carry 2 teams.

Again pure speculation on my part, But maybe they see a better engine in B17II, and are thinking that this will be the new standard for there sims.

Now Falcon4 was very good im told, so the theory may be hogwash.

Ill contact them today and see if we can rescue EAW "non exclusive of course" source code. If we can Id like to add a full time 24/7 host and a better flight model. Cross your fingers cause were gunna need it!
