Gut morgen gentlemen,

Tried using "pic pac" to change the skin on my aircraft, however, I keep getting the error message "pic wrong resolution". Any suggestions meine freundin. Please!?

Am currently running V1.2, ECA 1.4, if it makes any difference.

Also, can anyone tell me where to join you chaps in online combat.

Morgan Mein Herr,

To change the skins using picpac you have to make sure that the color palatte is set for 256 colors. Any setting other than that will totally scramble it up and either give you neon or completely unusable work. Also make sure you add the -p to the picpac Dos command : picpacp -p (whatever plane). That's the first couple of things that pop into my head after days of sleep deprivation. Hope it helps. Hope it actually makes sense.

Achtung.
When you open the picture file, you save the palette, and THEN increase to 16 mill. colours. (making skin with 256 colours???nein!). When you want to see how it's looking in EAW, you just load the palette, the skin goes back to 256, and it's in working order.

Or if you have a TNT, just put a dot of pure magenta and a dot of pure blue somewhere out of the way on the skin, save it as an 8-bit 256 colour PCX and then you don't have to worry about those restrictive palettes .

You poor Voodoo users - sheesh ! ;-))))
