I have read that the gold edition of DISH will be released on 15 January. What will this have that the original does not? Has anyone else heard about this?

S!

No idea, but maybe some info on the DID's own pages?I had the original for a short time and didn't like it.Jane's F/A18 is better IMO.

I find DISH Vastly superior to Janes F/A-18
because the cockpit is TOTALLY authentic, and
DISH is the ONLY Hornet sim to have a REALISTIC Carrier deck environment...except for deck crews that topple over at various times LOL. Seriously...IMHO DISH has better over all graphics. I call it "Hornet 4.0" out of respect for GraphSims previously released landmark sim "Hornet 1/2/3/Korea".

S!

I could argue about the DISH cockpit as I work with the "real deal",but it is pretty close. Some procedures are all wrong in the DISH also, for example engine start up...Oh well. It's only a game, not real life.Anyways it is a matter of taste which one You prefer.
