F-15 is probably the best of the lot in that package.

Bear in mind that it was designed when the voodoo 1 was the most popular graphics card, using the Glide graphics engine, so it will only run in software mode, unless you apply the 1.17 update.

If the F-15 version is a two CD install, the 1.17 patch comes on the second CD, along with the manual.

It's because USAF, IAF, and F-15 are all 2 CD games. 3 games, 2 CDs each = 6 CDs.

my F-15 is only 1 cd. Original, not the Officer Edition. I'm looking at USAF as well, is 2nd cd gameplay or encyclopedia--4 both?

I don't play much F-15 so I don't know what it is exactly for. But for USAF on the other hand, Disc 1 is the main play disc and has Las Vegas and Germany scenery on it. Disc 2 has Iraq and Vietnam but you can install both Iraq and Vietnam scenery on your HD and if you do, disc 2 isn't neccesary.

I call this the training wheel pack.

Here's a rundown of my Sim history;
I love USAF, It was the first Combat Flight Sim I ever bought. It is the perfect sim to start off on.
Planes:
-F-105
-F-4
-F-15C
-F-15E
-F-16
-F-22A
-F-117
-A-10
-Mig-29(multiplayer only)

Then I purchased WW2 Fighters
It tought me some good dogfighting and gave a pretty nice selection
Planes:
-P-38J
-P-47D
-P-51D
-Spitfire MK-IX
-FW-190
-BF-109
-ME-262

then I purchased F/A-18
Graphically stunning, tons of weapons with realistic engagement modes. It also got me into the "Hardcore" Flight Sim world.
Planes:
-F/A-18E Superhornet

Then I bought Flanker 2.0
This was a real treat, you get to fly Russia's Finest in full graphic detail. Also you get the Russian "Toys"
Planes:
-SU-27
-SU-27K (SU-33, carrier varient of SU-33 with Ground attack abitity)

The last "real" title I have purchased is Flacon 4.0
It is a good sim, graphics are a bit weak by todays standards but it still holds its own.
Planes:
-F-16C

Long live Hardcore Flight Sims

~VIPER OUT

P.S. give a history of you Hardcore Flight Simming Carrer
