Just got EECH today... really nice sim.. all but the fact that I dont have a CLUE how to operate the radar and targeting systems...

The manual (to me) does a very poor job detailing anything.

Please help guys! How in the world do you target Air targets and Ground targets?

I tried every damn key on the keyboard and nothing seems to work. The Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, and Page Down keys does nothing for me. Neither does the Numpad keys!

First off, you need to go into 'Options', then the 'Dynamics' or 'Realism' section and select 'realistic' avionics. With the avionics set to novice, most of the keys listed for radar/EOS control are disabled.

In radar mode:
the up (KP8) and down (KP2) keys adjust the width of the radar scan, narrower scan width = faster radar updates. the left and right keys (KP4, KP6) slew the radar scan left and right
The KP+ and KP- adjust the radar scan range
The KP* toggles the radar continuous scan on and off.
the KP/ key activates the radar for one sweep only
the KP7 key filters out friendly aircraft (in air-to-air mode only)
The KP3 and KP9 keys adjust the ground radar target priority:-
High: SAMs only
Medium: MBTs, APCs, grounded aircraft only
Low: trucks, Artillery, buildings, bridges only
All: shows everything

in EOS (electro-optic sensors) mode:
the KP cursors keys slew the camera up,down, left and right.
The KP+ and KP- keys adjust the sensor magnification
KP5 centres the sensor
KP_Enter locks the EOS sensor onto the target in the crosshairs. when a set of brackets appear over a target in the EOS display, you can lock the sensor onto that target.

For fine adjustments, use the ALT key and the Keypad cursors, for coarse adjustment, use the Shift key with the cursors.
