In single-player F-15, is there any mods for adding weapons like HARMs, rockets, etc.... I know about the nuke addon and i have it but i want to know about other weapons. also, can i have the websites for these addons if they exist

'fraid not - silver bullet and missions are the only add-on I know of.

Hey Jason,

I begged and cajoled and /pleaded/ with CJ and Crew to add this capability, based on then-extant PDF/ALR-100 and now what is called 'PLAID'.

Their communal answer was that 'it just wouldn't be realistic and therefore it wouldn't be right and we WON'T do it'.

As is, the only HARM-loaded F-15's are in two pictures, one of a prototype (290 or 291) with HARM's on the outboard wing stations and another of a 'real E' with a single AGM-88 inboard as it lifts off.

The same goes for the likes of the AGM-130 (supposedly would slow down the game to make it reach a fair distance) and the AIM-120 ('doesn't exist yet') and the JSOW and WCMD and the JDAM and the AIM-9X and the AGM-65H/K and the MALD.

REAL weapons that would have let us rely rather 'less' on the Weasipers and would have made the complex stores loading capability worthwhile as a function of loadout=survivability.

Same answer: "It ain't real yet so we're holding back".

Added to the miserable LANTIRN TGP performance, the Willy Wanka chocolate mountains and the incredibly inane defenses it made the game one of the /dullest/ flight sims I've ever played and one of the few Janes works I actually took back.

What REALLY gauls me, other than the realization that 'holding back' is now 'fond memories' for the EA/JIG alliance, is quite simply that you could mount AIM-120 AMRAAM on the HRL LAUs (only 'really' possible late in '97 or '98 with the E210 mod) before the real beasts could carry more than 7's there.

I must say they got most of the fixes in for F-18E but I _despise_ the ugly buglee and do wish that some fair hand would take another shot at an Eagle sim that made a bit more of an effort at both historical and 'recent' scenarios/weapons for the mighty Aquilla Terriblis. USAF and IAF _don't count_.

P.S. FWIW, the F-15PDF and AFAIK, the PLAID effort today are both aimed at the Albino community to provide them with at least a self-protect and 'ranged close escort' capability once the F-22 comes online.

Big Blue (Beagle) is pure and simply a mud truck and the Lawn Darts won't give up their one, questionably useful, role. Not if it kills them, the strike package and the fighter sweep as a whole.
