Which game is it?

Wow, that's the idea all right. The best ones don't give away the polygonal modeling edges. The first one is perfect.

I wouldn't want to fly WWII sims in grey scale, but a kind of low tech ACMI, or whatever was available in that period would be great. I don't even own a WWII sim yet, what is available in the sims now? Wouldn't grey scale trim a lot of code for the "play-back"?

Well,...yes, and no.
They are from IL-2 and B17II simulations. But converted into greyscale, and blured.
