Hey chaps look at this, no more learning key commands, 'tis a real blessing! For those who already have this, I've uploaded this command file plus the backdrop. Enjoy!

Where did you find one? I went to Saitek's site they say it is not out yet. Or are you just rubbing it in that you have one and the rest of us can't get one yet

It's available here in Europe, it should be in the US soon. Try to order one online, that way you should be able to get it even now. I like this thing so much I just *had* to bang the drum

So what is so much better about PC Dash 2 than the original? Looks like it performs the same function to me. - McFly

Did they at least make it so it retains the program this time or do you have to reload it eveytime you restart your computer like the original. I also hope they made a better keypad this time around the first one did not hold up well with a lot of play. I went through 2 units.

This time they did it right (I too had the prvious version)

- USB only
- much better quality of buttons and coolie
- 8 way coolie hat
- shift function & fire button
- smaller in size than the PCD1
- up to 70 commands and command strings
- reasonable default commands for everyday-use in windows, internet explorer and outlook
- other than the PCD1, this one works flawlessly with all my controllers
- much better programming-software
- one key can execute a different command each time it is pressed
- coolie hat can have complete mouse functions the same time you can use your standard mouse
- old dash cards still work, just cut them to correct size
- the dash now recognizes a game when it is started and automatically loads the correct commands. As this happens via USB, it's so fast you don't notice
- you can use it as a "king-size" gamepad as coolie and fire buttons can be easily reached

I tried to find some information for you in english on the internet, but it looks like it really hasn't been released elswhere than in germany so far - email/call Saitek and ask them!

Sounds like it's really superior to the old one (grrrr, I've bought the old one about a month ago after you [meatwater] posted the card and the profile for v1 on the CFS2 board).
How much does it cost (in DM)?

Thx
TBird

Meatwater,

thanks, what a nice surprise, I bought one yesterday amd now I find your zip file. Works well !

I can only confirm the quality of the Dash 2, absolutely flawless. I use it also in F4 (ICP !!), looks great between two Masterpilots :-)
