Picked this up off the other BBS...

If I am not very wrong the campaign for heavies is dynamic or at least fully under players control for targets, flight routes and altitude. So essentially everything is up to your own decisions and actions how your group manages.
But what about us fighter pilots?

Will there be a chance to desing our own routes and waypoints? Do we get orders from above or the routes of B17`s and chance to design our own routes to various waypoints? Can we take on free ranging role and attack targets on ground and air at will? It would be fun to ambush around a Me262 base waiting for them to take off to be shot down.

And when playing the German side?
Does one have a chance to take a staffel into air according to airwatch reports of enemy squadrons and their height and direction? (Like big map of Europe where are displayed the concentrations of enemy planes and their approximate direction.) It would also be fun to co-ordinate reichs defences and try to fend off hordes of amis.

Or is there any campaing for fighters?
I think at least german campaing would be viable. (And that demands for good ground control. The standaround time for 109`r isn`t very good.)

And online play?
I think it is very hard to convince someone to sit something like 5 hours online just waiting for the heavies not to come to the proximity of their Me163 base.(I bet it would be realistic especially when those bases were quite well known by allied forces and were avoided already by mission planning.) I think this demands some ideas from B17-II community.

Just curious: Matti

Nice questions Matti.
Perhaps the bomber guys can ICQ us fighter guys when they're in range

Matti,
Your Online Question is being looked at by at least one group of players.

The group v8thSAC ( 8th Strategic Air Campaign ) are working on the mechanics to make an online session between Bomber groups, Fighter Groups, and LW Groups possible.

One idea ( Not nearly firmed up due to the status of the game it self ) Would be to assign a mission to the Bombers and Escorts with Primary and Alternate targets. The LW group would be given say 4 possible targets so they have a resonable chance of guessing the right spot or if not hurrying to the primary or secondary target once it is known. This way the LW are not just sitting hoping some bombers fly over head.

Wow! That is a really good point/question! How about if Wayward were to setup the multiplayer game so that the Germans see a map, and a blip where a fisherman saw planes headed at such & such a direction? Or where radar picked up something moving eastward at about 20,000 feet doing about 250 knots? Then the germans would sorta have to guess exactly where the Allies were headed, and intercept them??
Or did Wayward already do that? Those silly bastards are always a step ahead..
