My mom was an occupational therapist whose trade was to rehabilitate people who were disabled to try to resume lives that were as functional as possible. The best people to protect the rights of the disabled are the disabled themselves. They are the best ones to be able to appraise their situations and speak for themselves.

OK. I'll bite (despite of the fact that Envelope is was spotted here), what are the "rights" of the disabled?

Big stick: the same rights as everyone else - ie, right to education, etc etc

Josh, isn't this the wrong place for a discussion on the rights of disabled? Youd get a better response if you posted in the off-topic section.

The M1A2 Abrams would clearly be the best for the job.

You are right, the disabled have precisely the same rights as everyboidy else, no more no less. And they have them not because they are disabled, but because they are citizens.

The notion of "special rights for the disabled" is fundamentally un-Constitutional and unfair.

And yes, you are right, this topic does not belong here.
