Here I linked some interesting images, that I came across on the net :-)

The upper foto - an F-15 in the gunsights of... what?

The lower photo - Egyptian MiG-21 shot down during 1967 Yom Kippur war.

Philipp Lett, designer of the U.S. tank Abrams, protects his face from the sun as he looks at new Russian tank T-90S during "UralExpoArms - 2000 " exhibition in Ural mountains city of Nizhny Tagil Tuesday, July 11, 2000.

What did they do to the poor old MiG-23? :-)

Interesting......if I was to hazard a guess, then I would say that the F15s wingman was targeting him. That's a guess, mind you (I play far to much JF15)

With a burning spear and a horse of air,

I believe the gunsights are of a friendly aircraft such as another F-15,F-16
Because the F-15 plane has had over 46 kills to its title with no loses.
