This doesn’t sound the most captivating of offerings, but we were surprised at the punchy gaming performance offered by the G403 Prodigy mouse. For those of us gamers or PC users who love the look presented by RGB PC peripherals Cooler Master has something in store for us. In addition to Cooler Master’s cooling units and cases they also produce computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headsets, earphones, and mousepads. Cooler Master has just released a mem-chanical (membrane switches with a tactile feel similar to that of a mechanical switch but longer life than conventional membrane switches) keyboard and mouse combo that could potentially make a great RGB addition to a casual home setup/beginner’s gaming rig. Here at Legit Reviews we were given the new affordable (considering the starting price of quality RGB gaming keyboards run for around $100 to start) Masterkeys Lite L Combo by Cooler Master at $59.99 shipped with a two year warranty included for both keyboard and mouse. For younger gamers and/or those of us shopping on a budget this may be the RGB keyboard for you.

Today we are having a look at the K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE, the keyboard born from another exclusive deal that Corsair has made with Cherry’s new mechanical key switch, the “RAPIDFIRE”. It is a switch designed specifically for gaming by combining light actuation force and higher actuation speed. On paper it does sound interesting, and today we’ll put its design to the test to see if there’s any actual improvement over Cherry’s “classic” designs.

Cougar is a German manufacturer of PC components that was founded in 2007. The company originally focused on cases and PSUs, but recently diversified towards gaming peripherals as well. A year ago we had a look at their first and, at the time, the most advanced keyboard and mouse they had to offer. Following the success of their 700-series peripherals, Cougar released nearly a dozen additional keyboards and mice during this past year, designed to cover many tastes and budgets. Today we are having a look at one of their newest keyboards and mice, the Attack X3 mechanical gaming keyboard and the 450M optical gaming mouse respectively.

G. Skill may be better known for their memory and storage products, but they are expanding their portfolio. Today we look at their new keyboard – the Ripjaws KM780 RGB. This keyboard incorporates Cherry MX mechanical switches and clear housings to deliver uniform RGB backlighting. It also packs a metal piped frame, detachable wrist rest, media keys, macro switches and a number of other fancy functions, all into a brushed aluminium frame. This is no budget product, as RGB mechanical keyboards tend to be – but can it justify the price tag?

Corsair just released a new mechanical motherboard, the STRAFE, bringing cost-effectiveness to gamers who want the versatility of an advanced programmable keyboard that may be limited to red backlighting but supposedly lacks no practical features over the RGB models. The truly interesting part however is that the STRAFE has an MSRP of just $110, nearly half the MSRP of the K70 RGB ($200).

Today we will be looking at the Ryos MK Pro, the best mechanical gaming keyboard ROCCAT currently offers. The major selling points of this keyboard are the per-key lighting, fully programmable layout, thumb keys, and the advanced software. Some of these features are not difficult to find nowadays, but per-key lighting and fully programmable layouts were rather rare when the Ryos MK Pro was released – nearly a year ago, that is. With a retail price of $156 (depending on switch type), it remains one of the most expensive gaming keyboards currently available, forcing it to face tremendous competition from other manufacturers. Can the Ryos MK Pro compete in today’s market? We will find out in this capsule review.

Gamdias is a company that is likely not well known by many computer enthusiasts, except for perhaps some of the diehards in the crowd. In truth, Gamdias has only been around for a couple years, designing keyboards (and the company) from the ground up. Needless to say, they’re up against some industry heavyweights in the peripheral market, but perhaps that also means a chance to shine. And today we’re looking at the flagship mechanical keyboard from Gamdias, the Hermes Ultimate.
