It's not something most of us give a lot of thought to when building a new rig because they are cheap and the majority of them work as advertised. But what if you want something better than that? After all, it doesn't make much sense to buy a no-name optical drive along with a bunch of mid or high-end computer hardware. It's worth it to first do some research and shop around because things like noise, burn quality, and overall reliability are important factors to consider. That's where reviews like this come in.
