Be still my beating heart!!!It's going to have TAW's updated WARGEN?? OUTSTANDING!!! It's going to have a better FM than EF2000??? OUT-FREAKING-STANDING!!!! This may well be the last sim I'll ever want (to paraphrase Derek Smart).

Hi That all seem very promising. But one thing worries me, that is the following sentence: "There is no player input for the rudder. When necessary, the AI makes the rudder input for you". I want to be able to use rudders. Yes I know that the pilot's use for rudders are very limited in modern FBW jets but I still want to be able to use rudders as in the real thing. I think we need to put this in perspective. We've been hearing for months that this would be a lite sim. Now suddenly it sounds like a hardcore sim? I'm thinking we'll get simplistic avionics and a relaxed flight model. The environment and it's threats will be dumbed down too. You know when they say that you will have to deal with overwhelming numbers, that kills will be easy and you'll be coming back from each mission with 10 new kills even against advanced front line fighters. Air-Quake maybe? But... With a dynamic campaign, I think I'll like it anyway. I like Falcon4 but it has nothing to do with how realistic the avionics are, or how close to reality the flight model is. It could be way off or just like reality and I wouldn't know the difference. It's the dynamic campaign that keeps me flying F4. If Typhoon's campaign lives up to expectations, I'll buy it and I'll like it. ------------------ SV out Saint Viper's Falcon 4.0 Strategy Guide

Viper,The article draws numerous comparisons between Typhoon and TAW, so we can probably expect the same balance of 'lite'/'hardcore'. This is just fine with me. Zhukov ------------------ "With a gun barrel between your teeth, you speak only in vowels." -- Fight Club

LOL! I've been saying that over and over about EF2000 and TAW. Personally, I would've preferred if DiD would have released a second iteration of EF2000 instead of TAW, using the updated graphics, WARGEN and AWACS interface. But your idea of a TAW2 piggybacking off of the upcoming Typhoon is interesting. Zhukov

Can we get confirmation about this from somewhere please?!? It would certainly free up some spare time for me if I knew whether it is hardcore whilst I await the game's release.
