Sometimes it's the little things that count. In his fourth preview of IL-2 Sturmovik, Len "Viking1" Hjalmarson gets down and dirty in a close air ground support mission. In today's mission, the weather sucks (snow), your rear gunner may black out, and man, those enemy tanks can run and change formation in an instant . . . but they can't hide!

Schatt just looks around for a drool cup...

I'll be back with some (semi-)coherent thoughts when I recover.

Incredible is the best I can manage right at the moment.

Oh, my flippin' heck!

I was entranced after your last article, but as a lover of mud-moving, I am now, er, um,
enchanted? Seriously, very well written, it should be used by their marketing Dept.!

Where can I pre-order?

Geeeewhizzzz, these troop screenshots are jaw dropping, such a level of detail could also come from a helo or tank sim.

Amazing! It will be one glorious day when I get my sweaty fingers on Il-2, but for now I'll settle for preview five, six, seven, eight and nine. Another preview tomorrow Viking?

I like your reviews Viking but you seem to be exaggerating rather a lot: Your wife buys you a joystick and your daughter writes that she loves you on the same day? - get a life they'll never believe the other stuff you write. Nice simulator though, really....

Holy shite!

That is probably the preview to the best retail flight simulator ever created. Bar none. I thought F/A-18 looked the piece (shakes his head as well). I would think all you guys agree with this assessment too?

It is such a crying shame that an A-10A cannot be made to fly around such picturesque countryside. Imagine it? A european WWIII scenario in Germany. The stuff dreams are made of.

However Maddox, you're game looks simply brilliant. There is no doubt this game will be part of my games library. However a rig upgrade may be required along the way.

What about you guys? Anyone needing to upgrade to play this?

LD.
