GI Combat Ships
Publisher Strategy First and developer Freedom Games have announced that its Real-Time Strategy war game G.I. Combat has shipped to retail stores nationwide. G.I. Combat engulfs the dynamic conflicts of World War II and features a three-dimensional environment detail for terrain, armor penetration, vehicle movement, and weapon-fire. Players campaign American or German troops through tactical excursions of enemy artillery barrages, beach landings, snipers, bridge crossings, and loads of heavy tank fire. GI Combat will feature campaigns with dozen of historical and hypothetical scenarios beginning at D-Day, and carrying through Patton's lightening breakout from the Normandy Beachhead. Platoon Goes Gold
Co- publishers Strategy First and Monte Cristo and developer Digital Reality have announced that the tactical strategy adventure game, Platoon, has gone gold. Based on the 1986 Oliver Stone film, Platoon covers the period from the early days of the conflict (late 1965) to the height of battle in 1968 and recreates some of the most tragic moments of the Vietnam War including Operation Shiny Bayonet , the Pleiku Campaign and Operation Pershing. Medieval: Total War Retail Patch v1.1
Creative Assembly has issued a new patch for Medieval: Total War, upgrading the English and international editions of their 3D real-time and turn-based strategy game to version 1.1. This release brings a number of new features, some compatibility improvements, and a slew or single-player and multi-player enhancements and fixes as detailed in the included Readme file. Download
