Avionics and Comms
The precision avionic displays can be viewed either from the virtual cockpit or indeed brought up full screen via the necessary key press. Even when zoomed out the MFD's are eligible and functional, again providing the player with that extra situational awareness when under the stress of combat or approaching the target area. There is now tighter control over wingmen and flight groups via the now standard drop down comms menu that most designers seem to favor. Indeed, it's functional and should prove easy to use, especially when combined with voice recognition software like Game Commander.

There are also a host of configuration options for both novice and hardcore pilots that can be adjusted to alter flight dynamics and avionic systems. New pilots can therefore start at the more simple settings and work their way up without feeling overwhelmed by the more advanced options that appear within the game. Individual system damage is modeled as are the authentic weapon platforms flown by both the American and Russian sides respectfully.

Campaign
The campaign engine will once again be fully dynamic, with plenty going on both in the air and on the ground. Real combat areas include Lebanon, Taiwan and Yemen, which have been modeled on real digital maps and provide large combat zones that the player can fly in. Realistic day/night and all weather missions can be flown and selected via the previously mentioned detailed campaign interface, which can be of a both tactical nature like the targeting of airfields, military bases, along with a strategic aspect such as power stations, oil refineries, etc. Again the game will allow 3 difficulty levels, providing plenty of enjoyment for both beginner and the more advanced simulator pilots among us. Comanche V Hokum will also be able to integrate with current owners of Apache V Havoc and indeed as well as the ability to fly the Apache\Havoc, the Campaign missions from the previous game can also be flown.

What more can I say, great graphics, excellent game-play and, as a bonus, we have the beginnings of an integrated Electronic Battlefield system not seen since Falcon 3.
