Multi-player

The usual protocols will be implemented like TCP\IP (Internet), Modem, Lan etc and as an alternative to the Single Dynamic Missions of Apache V Havoc, Razorworks have opted for 'Skirmishes'. These are small-scale campaigns using (say) 20x20Km areas of the map. The plan at the moment is to implement individual player gun-ships only.

Views

The viewing system has undergone a major revamp since Apache V Havoc and now provides the ability via an on-screen menu system to select and view any vehicle object within the campaign. Again, this is going to be another example of actual hands-on experience proving to be a lot easier than the typed word. One of the options the player can select is the Main Menu View screen; this will allow the user to then select the Range, Side, Force, Category, Type and Object.

Range: How Far from your existing helicopter position you would like to view.

Side: This will either be allied or enemy.

Category: This will be the type of unit like Combat Helicopter, Transport Helicopter, Artillery units, Air Defense unit's etc.

Type: Apache, Comanche, A10, F-16 etc

Object: The individual units that are flying.

There are various shortcuts that the player can use when he gets familiar with the viewing system, but I still like using the following method, which is quite straightforward in its approach. So it would work something like this, I would like to browse all the Comanche helicopters that are in the campaign theatre at this present time.

I would bring up the Main Menu view screen and select:

Category: Combat Helicopters

Type: Comanche

Once I have done the above I would then simply use the hot key "Object" to cycle the individual units of Comanche helicopters flying at the time. I can at this stage enter and fly the helicopter that I am viewing. A picture says a thousand words so check out the screenshot of the menu screen in action.
