Well, it's May 06, 2002 and this is a picture of my dog standing in my backyard at 3:50 P.M. this afternoon:

All of this snow has fallen in the last 12 hours!

Hey, Doug. Is that a sheltie?

I have one.

Old Guy,

We're not sure what he is, exactly. We think he's a German Shepherd crossed with a Collie. He's too big to be crossed with a Sheltie, although he looks like a big version of one.

He's a hell of a dog and has really nice conformation for a mixed breed. His coat color is a beautiful gold with black around the face and a white belly. Both his ears flop over perfectly and he looks really cute when he stares at you while you eat (what dog doesn't stare while you eat?).

I may have to save some of his DNA and start cloning him because we don't know his parents since he was a pound puppy.

Definately a cute little pooch, but the white stuff in the background isn't. I
trudged into work through a blizzard myself down here in Southern Calgary, er, Spokane.

Isn't this one of the signs of the Apocolypse or something???

The mutt may be many things, Doug, but that face never sprang from a Collie. The face and ears are pure Sheltie.

Ours is named Sassy and she's six years old. Weighs about 22 pounds. Best little dog we've ever owned.

Jim,

Bailey is 7 years old and weighs in at 80lbs. Definitely not a Sheltie. He has the size and shape of a Sheperd and the coloring of a Collie or Sheltie. He does resemble a breed called the Australian Sheperd. He, too, is the best dog we have ever had.

Cheers,
Gail

Okay. I won't argue with you. But, the nose and ears suggest sheltie more than collie. With a mix it's often difficult to tell. I'll post a picture of my mutt if I ever digitize one.

Australian Shepherd? Never heard of that breed. I thought Australian Shepherds were just guys with a penchant for velcro gloves.

Nice dog but.

Virtoz.

ps 26 degrees C here... in Autumn (fall). Weird.
