Picked up x-plane 4 days back. The only civ flight sim to hold my interest so far. The manual mentions x-30 space plane but I cant find it in game. Xicat.com site has link to it, but cant find it there either. Anyone know where I can get it?

Have you tried any of the links at x-plane.com? I know under the "subculture-x" section he has links to sites with planes.

Yea, tried all of them, no luck. Retail version is 5.52, downloaded 5.54, no new craft except blimp. I guess its something they didnt get to yet. Thanks for the response. This sim is really something,I usually only get into combat sims like jfa-18 and falcon,but I have to tell you,trying to land the shuttle from orbit has been eating up most of my sim time. It really is a change of pace!

I noticed in the manual(page 32) the X-30 has the file name "NASP" in the Mega-planes folder. Have fun!

NASP = National Aerospace Plane
Never actually built

Aguila, just read your post. I went back into game and rechecked all aircraft folders looking for "x-30" and "NASP", no luck. Is anyone else with version 5.52 or 5.54 missing this also? Fyrebird, did you mean it wasnt built in real life (which I guess it wasnt) or that it wasnt built into the sim?

I meant to say that it wasn't built in real life. Sorry, that doesn't help you any. I knew someone whose son was involved in the project before the AF pulled its share of the funding.

The X-30 was in previous versions of X-Plane, it may have been removed in newer versions, since Austin did not update it. You may be able to find one online though.

My CD is version 5.4 and I unzipped it for the first time yesterday(been running off the download). But the X-30 was not there.
