I can't comment on the CH stuff, but I've used the Suncom stick and throttle and I like them. I also have a Thrustmaster TQS/FLCS as well. The Thrustmaster stuff has more programming capabilities but the Suncom stuff is easier to program. You can even program the Suncom stuff in the middle of the game. The quality of the Suncom stuff is solid - no major problems. But the Suncom stuff, especially the throttle, is big. These guys take up a decent amount of desktop real estate. The dual throttle feature is nice, but unfortunately, only Flanker 2.0 takes advantage of it. The second throttle, if unused in the game, can be designated as "rudder pedals" if wanted. The Talon stick has a good center that snaps tightly and the stick is not tight, like the Thrustmaster F-22 was. You don't have to be a body builder to the the Suncom stick. Again, as I said, someone else with have to comment on the CH Products stuff though I've generally heard good things about them too.

Hi, using Fighterstick and ProThrottle for a longer while now, great stuff! Robust, precise, easy to program with speedkeys software (ca 40 commands). Don't know the Suncom, but I would choose CH gear again. Ever noticed how few complaints you hear concerning the Combat- and Fighterstick? Watch six, Skybird out.

Although Im a "fanatic" Thrustmaster owner and user (FLCS/TQS for years now), Ive played with both the SunCom and CH HOTAS gear as well. If money isnt an issue I'd go for the CH stick+throttle combo, however if your budget isnt too big the Suncom stick+throttle combo is the best alternative. SunCom is good, I just find the CH stick and throttle to be more solid and it just felt better in my hands.

But whatever you do.. please do get a throttle with it as well. Without a throttle you only have half a HOTAS

I have the CH Fighter Stick + Pro Throttle combination. I'm VERY happy with it. In fact, I don't know anyone who isn't. Very easily programmable too. Simple GUI lets you enter whatever keystrokes you want assigned to whatever buttons and hat switches. The stick itself is nice, but what really makes this combination shine is the Pro Throttle. Numerous hat and castle switches, all ergonomically positioned.

I have not used the Suncom setup, although it does look very nice. The dual throttle will not be an advantage for this particular sim though, since obviously this is not supported in F4. One thing to keep in mind is that the CH Fighter Stick has a looser feel, i.e. the springs are quite light, almost TOO loose for some. I totally do not mind, if I need a wrist pump I'll go to the weight room instead. But some prefer a stiffer feel. If that's the case with you then grab the Suncom or also check out Thrustmaster gear. You probably can't go wrong with any of the 3.

No doubt about it.. you'd be a fool not to go with the CH Fighterstick and Pro Throttle

Lasts forever, is precise, durable, easily programmable, etc.. you name it, it's probably got it.. only draw back is throttle is slide motion rather then a***, forget the exact word.. starts with A.. where joystick curves round the circle idea lol.. I', looosing it!!

Anyhow.. go with the CH Setup!

I have CH F16 Combatstick + CH Pro Throttle + CH Pro Pedal. They have so far served me veery well. Good solid products. I cannot comment on the other products but as it is, I am great fan of CH stuff. BTW, I accidentally dropped my Pro Pedal about 10 feet from the ground and it worked like new!!

I guess I'll cast my vote with the Suncom setup. I have the F15 Talon and Suncom SFS Throttle and I wouldnt trade them for any other setup on the market. I've tried a couple of others and always come back to the Suncom stuff.

I've ownder both sticks, and I think that Suncom F-15 is better, I'd buy it any time...I now have CH F-16 and I don't like that big dimension of movement...It takes about 30cm space to all directions to move =) it moves about 30 degrees and that is way too much! But someone may like that big movement..
