I've had some limited success adding LANTIRN capability in Falcon 4. The biggest problem I'm having is that I can't find a way to keep it from behaving like a bomb.There's really two things that are of issue. #1 - I can't find a way to get the Laser/optical MFD to come up without adding a weapon that uses its avionics/weapon type. #2 - If I add the weapon, I can't find a way to not have it drop like a bomb. The only way I can get the proper MFD up is to call it a GBU. But then, it drops like a GBU. The LANTIRN should not drop, but I can't find a way to make it behave with the avionics the GBU currently has, without dropping. What we need to able to do is make the LANTIRN act like a GBU currently acts, AFTER you have dropped the weapon. The optical MFD is still available. Then, we could use the LANTIRN to designate the target, switch to the GBU, change it to SLAVE, and then you can fire. I realize that Falcon 4, (for simplicity) integrated this into the GBU, in that it behaves as if you already have a FLIR/LANTIRN pod loaded. It would be nice, though, to attempt to make delivery work as intended. Scoob
