You can certainly fly campaign and TE's online.

You have to either make or download or borrow a TE from someone - there are none that came boxed with the game. Once you have the TE one person loads it and the other people join it.

I have never flown campaign online, so I am not sure exactly how it is done - but it can for sure 100% be done- there are even a few servers that have a campaign running 24 hours a day for you to fly.

For online play I recommend TE´s over campaigns by the way, because campaigns are too much of a system hog with way too much information to be exchanged. You can´t really play it online without experiencing some lag. If everybody is on a cablemodem and lives within 50 miles or so it´s okay, but for everything else TE´s are much better.

Some were full of support groups and some were just pasted together with apparently no thought given to purpose. However most are worthwhile for single play and well constructed. I suggest that anyone with F4 fever should learn to construct their own TE's. It adds to the game IMO.
