. . . blowing the tailfeathers off a Mig 3.

Ignoring the falsetto shrieking of my wingies . . .

. . . when a stream of tracers appear beside my plane. And a series of bumps and thuds disturb my aim.

The left wing parted company and my repeated attempts to bail out failed until I resorted to the old 'Ctrl+E'. Too late.

I now occupy a smoking crater in the Russian steppe.

Sigh.

Has anyone else had problems with their stick control settings suddenly becoming scrambled?

I had a button programmed for bailout and had set up the hat switch for cockpit views, but on this particular mission I discovered the views were doing odd things. Left hat produced a view of the cockpit wall behind my left shoulder. Right hat gave me a look at the cockpit frame over my head. I ended up flying with little more than a forward view. Then, of course, my bailout button failed to work.

I reset the controls to default, but nothing changed. Shall I try remapping the keys or is the problem more serious? Any ideas?

Jim

PS: Somewhere along the way I started experiencing the stuttering associated with speech, which I had not had before. Can't recall now what the last changes were that I made to my system.

S! Jim,

Sorry I can't help, but I have had a simular experience. Now I'm not 100% sure. Last night after I had mapped some key assignments to my joystick all seemed well, then testing them out later and they weren't working. Then later they did?

I had put this down to me getting to grips with my new joystck, but now I'm not so sure.

I have also had some keyboard problems too, when certain key commands were not working, then later they chose to. That was not an error on my part.

I've heard others Jim so you and I are not alone. Maybe this is being looked into?

Sorry I never offered a sollution.

BTW Did you receive any of my emails over the holidays Jim?

My brother lost his padlock last night, for no apparent reason.

The new patch, hopefuly, will address joystick issues, of which there appears to be a few, particularily for the force feedbacks.

Try remapping I guess.
