At the start of a campaign, where do most of you set your Force Rating sliders to? I've read somewhere that the most realistic way is to set them all the way to the right. Since I've only had the game for a month, I donn't know where I should adjust the sliders to, like many of you long-time owners probably do. I'm in day 6 of Tiger Spirit and I had set my bars one notch short of being all the way to the left side (DPRK side), and ever since the opening offensive early in the campaign, my forces have went absolutely nowhere. As of right now, I'm wondering if my Force Ratings is the reason. So any slider setting examples would be great for when I start my next campaign. Thanx everyone.

Well speaking from my experience with F4,
it depends on how long a war you want and how forgiving a scenario you want.

Sliding the bars to the enemy extends the war and does not leave much room for failed or partially failed/successful missions on your part.

In all cases its your personal performance that has the *greatest* impact.

IOW fly often and fly well & everything else will fall into place :-)

The force slider affect the number of aircraft or vehicles in each unit. I'm more familiar with the numbers for aircraft. With the force sliders to the right, each of your squadrons will have 24 aircraft, and each enemy squadron will have 16. Slide them to the left and it will be the opposite. In the middle, your squadrons have 20 aircraft, and they NK's have 24.

The OOB screen in the intel section will tell you how many squadrons of each aircraft the enemy has and where they are located. I don't think the force sliders affect the number of squadrons.
