S! all. I am trying to get my Stab lined up properly, and I have searched for answers to these questions with no luck yet. I was hoping to clear these up, with your patience. 1. If I have automatice skn change feature turned on, I need to load skins for EVERY terrain, or I get the EAW default skins, correct? 2. ALso, using the skin changer, I need to load .3dz files into Stab and .flt files (for the correct FMs) if I am going to use, say, a Corsair with Pacific terrain, correct? 2a. Assuming I am correct in #2, when I re-select Channel Front, Summer terrain, will all of my P-51 skins/ FMs/ .3dz be replaced? 3. I am given only one slot for Pacific terrain on Stab. Can I add more? For instance, I would like to add South Pacific terrain with all of the appropriate skins/ FMs/ wire frames. Also, I believe there is a desert as well as Med terrain skins. 4. Am I going to find the FMs and .3dz files where I find the skins for the Pacific stuff? I would like to have it work this way, but before I do all of the work, I would like to know that it won't be in vain! Thanks once again to all. Tschuss! Anton,Ok, 1. First off, Stab will only install Skins that are configured. For example, if there is no Skin for a Spitfire Ia, then the EAW default Spitfire skin will be used. So you really only need to add to Stab Skins YOU want to use. For me, I have only configured Bf 109E-4, Bf 109G-6 and Fw 190D-9 so far in Stab. I use EAW default Skins for all the rest. Also, by default Skin changing is Disabled in Stab. You need to go into Configure EAW Stab and check the option Copy Skins when Terrain changes take effect. 2. Stab does not directly (or should I say by default) handle *.FLT files. What I suggest is Configure the Pacific Terrain set with the Skins you want and then run Charles Gunst's ECA Panel 3.1 and select Pacific under the Global Changes menu item. This will set the flight models to the Pacific aircraft. 2a. Yes. But you will need to run ECA Panel 3.1 and select Europe 1943 or Europe 1944 to get the P-51 flight models again. 3. You can if you wish create a 'South Pacific' Terrain set in Stab and set it up the way you have outlined. When Stab was first released in December last year, there was only Autumn (Europe), Winter (Europe), Pacific and Med Terrain files. Things have grown since then! 4. FM's are Charles Gunst's area. ECA Panel 3.1 is the utilty to use for that. At this point in time, there is no interaction between Stab and ECA Panel. Hope that has helped. Matt.

S! Anton8![4. Am I going to find the FMs and .3dz files where I find the skins for the Pacific stuff?] Well, for the .3dz files, probably. Some of the skins downloads that employ PAW .3dz files or even renamed EAW .3dz's will include the appropriate .3dz files. This is true, I believe, for all of Jamie Richards' skins. I'm not sure about everyone elses. However, you can download .3dz files for all the PAW aircraft in one pack at both Airbuddha's "The Hangar" (click on "Main Files" in the navbar at the left) and Cord's EAW Page. For the flight models, these will not be found at the skin download sites. It is not really necessary to copy them into any folder in Stab; just use ECA Control Panel to select whatever aircraft you want. Still, it IS possible to use Stab to copy a specific set of flight models into EAW. Just set ECA Control Panel to whatever aircraft you want, and then open your EAW directory (the folder where the "eaw.exe" program is located-----normally "C:Program Files\MicroProse Software\European Air War"). There will be one file called " Planes.dat " and 30 files named " ***.flt ". Copy all of these files, and paste them into whichever folder you wish. But I really think it's simpler to use ECA CP to make the changes directly into the EAW directory...
