I know this might be more of a hardware/joystick question, but I use Falcon with my HOTAS.

I got the new Digital upgrade for my F22/TQS from http://www.stickworks.com and it works great. Only trouble is I use Cowboy Wilson's (RIP - we miss you Cowboy) Falcon4 F22 file and it needs some editing to work with the new chipset.

Has anyone done any work for the new chips in the for of updated F22 files? I mainly play Falcon4 and LongBow2 - wish they would have finished A10 (Janes).

Thanks for the help and if you have an F22/TQS/rudder combo, get the new chips.

Hi, I use his file too. the only thing I had to edit was the trigger(he had it work camera on first click). I have F22/TQS, how much editing did you have to do and what kind of software for DL is there, Windows?
Was thinking of getting chips and some spare pots

does it feel diff, more stable ?

Hey,

I had to edit nothing to use Cowboy's file with the standard F22/TQS/Rudder combo, it worked right out of the box.

As for the digital upgrade - I don't have any idea how much code changing will be needed to get it to work with the new chipset.

Now for changes in the HOTAS with the digital chipset. It seem "very" smooth. When I release the stick in LB2 the chopper just sits there like I was using auto-hover. I have seem zero spiking when moving the stick or TQS. Even though the rudders are anologe they seem more stable also.

I just need some help with the digital files for the chips.

What type of help do you need? I've had the chips in place for 5-6 days now. Other than RAW codes there does not seem to be alot of other changes. I modified most all my files in one day, mainly eliminating alot of RAW codes for PRESS/MAKE RELEASE/BREAK etc. I don't use the FALCON F22 file you mention - but are you having specific problems with it?

I looked at Jame's site. He outlines the changes to make FLCS to F22 files. The other deal is, if I knew what RAW codes where I'd be in good shape here. I'm sure there are some that need to be removed.

As for my current wows, when I try to download Cowboy's .F22 file it says that it is missing the second /T on line 54 here is the file. I've marked it in this message.

My initial suggestion is to back and look at the MACRO definitions for both:
/O /T CHECKSIXRT , and,
/T CHECKSIXLF
Makesure both MACROs exist exactly as you have typed, and look at the definitions. I have had similar experiences and lot of times it seems the MACRO is invalid due my mistyping etc.

If you can, post just those two MACROs so everyone can see them.

I should have put this up the first time.

Here is the .M22 file with the macros in them. I sure it has something to do with the RAW codes. But I'm not sure what to remore and what to replace it with when I do remove it.

Your problem is that the MACRO includes the RPT function. From the STICKWORKS HELP FILE:

"There are a few functions that were available in the standard F22 that aren't currently supported by the SWF22. These include:


1. The RPT function . . . "

Off the cuff I don't have a work around to suggest other than changing the macros to:

CHECKSIXRT = /P KP6 RAW(#51) /R RAW(#D1) DLY(30) 2
CHECKSIXLF = /P KP4 RAW(#51) /R RAW(#D1) DLY(30) 2

This includes the revised MACROS. I don't use that file so I don't know what effect the removal of the RPT function will have.
