About to upgrade from 128mb and just curious as to whether it makes a difference in EECH.

Thanks
SB

Just did what you are planning to do (my rig P3 500 with V3 3000). Graphics are now a lot smoother. Only stutters now seem to be associated with in-game sounds.

Yep, I got 256Mb, and I still get stutters of up to 3/4 of a second! It does seem to be the voice/game sounds that do it!

256MB over here and the game is unplayable at 32bit. It runs smooth as glas at 16bit though, even at high res.

Hmmmm, "only" 128 MB and no stuttering, only at the beginning... Are you refering to mid-game stuttering or start-up stuttering (i.e. loading in textures).

Just curious

Cheers

Well, I've uninstalled Apache Havoc and EECH. I just upgraded from a PII450 TNTv4400 128 ram Montego II A3D Sound; to a PIII800 Hercules Geforce2GTS64mg 256mg ram and SBLive5.1 Sound and every sim I have just flies except EECH. It ran fine on the old rig and now it just stutters something terrible. So, I got two games if anybody wants em'. N/C. I'll box em' and send em' UPS COD. Couldn't really get into this sim anyway!

Dude! I'll take 'em. I downloaded the demo of AH and was hooked instantly...and EECH is supposed to be even better. I'd love to get my hands on the full versions of both. email me at cmcarter@bigfoot.com and we'll sort it out. :-)

Cyclone if the AH demo hooked you, then definetly get EECH. EECH is way better than EEAH and best thing of all you can link the 2 and EEAH gets as good

I remember the first time when I tried a simulation demo and it happened to be the EEAH demo. Of course, that was way long before I got to the sim arena and my first thought was: "What kind of an idiot plays this stuff? You can't understand anything". So now I am the one who feels like an idiot And a bit on topic: I upgraded to 256 megs yesterday and I should say it helps quite a lot. I have to admit, though, that studdering was never a problem for me anyway. I have Athlon 700, V4 4500 AGP, and all my games reside on a dedicated partition.
