Something dawned on me last night. It's my humble opinion, that EECH is just a little too easy in regards to killing tanks. Mind you, I have the flight model set on easy, but it almost seems as if I'm invincible as long as I have Hellfires (and no enemy aircraft around!!!!) Tanks by themselves have NO chance, not even if they're SAMS or AAA mounts. Pop up, get a picture, mask, then burn them with LOAL mode!!!! It's that easy. What does everyone else think?

Mark

P.S. It's still the best helo sim out there, and in 1600 x 1200, it's glorious!!!

What Difficulty setting do you have it on? The manual (or the strategy guide) says that if the level is set to "Easy" then the tanks and other equipment do not have the "normal" protection areas (harder to penetrate the front of a tank for instance). This is only my guess as I have not played it on medium or hard yet. (I wanted to learn all the avionics first without dying too much.) I do fly with the realistic flight model and avionic though.

Let me know.

I play with everything on realistic as well as an ace AI. From my experience, they put up a decent fight with me. I can pick off any lone battalions, but if they are grouped together with sams and air units in the area I'm in for a good run for my money =).

I have the flight model set on easy, but the AI on the hardest level (don't know what they call it, I'm at work). It just seems like I always run out of Hellfires before I'm done killing tanks. Maybe that's part of the horror of being a tanker......ATTACK HELICOPTERS!!!!! LOL

I was stationed at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA, and there's a unit there that operates out of Texas somewhere that plays the OPFOR (Opposing Force). Anyway, one of the helos they use is a Hind D Soviet attack helicopter. The first time I saw it, I almost crapped my pants. The sounds that thing makes are unbelieveable.

Anyway, I still think it's too easy. I might try putting the flight model on high, just to give me something else to think about!!!!!!

I used to think it was real hard, then I learned you could hit the fast movers with Laser Hellfires. Now it's no-problemo!
